The Misfit's fit.

"why does it always have to be her?!!!" Didi shouted, her voice cracking . She tried to hold the tears in her eyes but that didn't stop them from turning glassy. She swallowed the lump in her throat trying to absorb whatever force she could from her surroundings. "it's always her" she muttered in a small voice . "Its not like that Didi try to understand she needs me now!, I'm her friend you know? and don't make a scene your being dramatic" Kyle said trying not to shout . He had to appease Didi. Bailey needed him now. "Well your mine too..." she continued childishly but weakly as she knew she already lost. He wasn't even paying attention anymore . "..." " I'm heading out now , here's the money for the bill alright?...see you later." and Kyle was off. Didi struggled to keep her tears in as she sat alone in the restaurant..watching the door oscillations before it finally shut.

Friends?

There's something y'all should know about Bailey Mitch.

She's a good girl, and I mean really good . She's friends with like...the whole school. Literally.

You can't take four steps on campus alongside her without meeting any of her acquaintances.

This was completely inverse to a certain someone we know who was practically mute if you didn't know her .

Among her numerous friends, the was Kyle.

Sweet sweet Kyle.

Now I don't have anything against the friendship between boys and girls...but.

yeah...but.

That's it, that's all I have to say.

Bailey walked towards us having noticed Kyle and keeping her eyes on him but greeting me first before heading towards him.

They greet with a handshake and few words, her hands resting in his a little too long for my liking and enough to pass the wrong message to our surroundings.

Shortly after, a group of people surrounded us as Kyle also graduated from the applied Physics department , he was quite the big shot , beauty and brains.

All in all Didi sat where she sat not far away from Kyle struggling to initiate conversations here and there as they usually had arguments because of how introverted she was.

She felt left out. Like she was jamming a puzzle piece in the wrong spot.

Kyle on the other hand fit right into the environment like a glove.

After being lost in thought for a short while she noticed Kyle whispering in Bailey's ear and her giggling at what she was being told. They were standing together, a little to her right, perfect heights, wonderful chemistry . At that moment she felt.... discomfort, a prickling sensation in her chest she couldn't identify immediately.

Her eyes met with Kyle's and he stopped whispering to Bailey and came to her.

He said something to her but she only pretended to laugh when she also saw him laugh. She couldn't here him or anyone in particular.

She didn't know why she felt that way... because they were.... friends?
