A Disaster

Lucy shook her head but nodded quickly. 'Argh.' She should leave her alone already.

"I don't understand, do you mean yes or no?" Thea asked in confusion.

"Ahem, Thea." Jai cleared his throat to grab her attention. "Where did you say you're headed to?"

"Oh, the company downtown we're almost there," Thea answered. But her attention was not diverted even a bit. And she turned her eyes back to Lucy.

"Jai, is your sister mute?" She asked in confusion. "Why does she keeps shaking her head?"

"Ehm—" Jai was about to answer when Lucy nodded again to indicate that she was right.

"Oh." Thea make a sound of pity. "But she's so pretty, poor girl."

She even patted Lucy's hair and Lucy shuddered. This nice side of Thea even looked more scary than her usual evil side.

"Of course she is." Jai chuckled.
