The Miracle Clinic

[SERIES ON HIATUS DUE TO LIFE. THOUGH I WILL BE REVISING OLD CHAPTERS. The new revised stuff won't have a "X" at the start of the chapter] Do you believe in miracles? Well for two high school students named Marcus Veridan & Ronnie Everst, they certainly do as they've managed to make a club all about making miracles happen. Despite the club struggling to find its footing, they manage to quickly find two new members in the form of Elizabeth Moore, a shy nerdy girl that somehow gets into drama pretty easily, and Alex Smith, a hot heated athletic dude that thinks with his fists. Together the four of them and their club named "The Miracle Clinic" will slowly but surely begin to shake the entire groundwork of the city they live in, one miracle at a time. ________________ this is my first ever webnovel story I've ever done so I'm sorry if some things are a bit rough at the start.

xChapter 14 - This Is Harder Than It Looks

Back in the 90s when Mr. Amnestor was first starting his career as a teacher, he is sitting in his office while the young student sits in a chair next to him with a few bandages & bruises on his body.

"So you got into a fight again?" Mr. Amnestor asks.

"Yeah I did but it doesn't really matter," The young student says as he chews some bubble gum, "everybody gets into fights these days."

"Yeah but you should be focusing more on your schoolwork," Mr. Amnestor says.

"Oh, you mean this?" The young student asks as he takes out several pieces of paper that all show his previous test scores, all of them being perfect scores. The young student retorts, "I think I'm pretty capable Amny."

"If you say so, just don't get caught up in something big."

"Now why would I do that?"

Amnestor chuckles at the student's last remark.

In the present, Amnestor sits in his office alone. That is until Ronnie walks in.

"What do you want Everst?" Amnestor asks.

"Oh well I was wondering if you changed your mind about the whole ending our club thing," Ronnie asks.

"I didn't."

"Oh... but are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Are you really sure?"

"Yes, I am."

"You don't think you're making a mistake, like if you want we can maybe give you a miracle!"

"...miracles don't exist Ronnie."

"....this isn't working is it?"

"Not one bit."

Amnestor sips some coffee as Ronnie walks out of his office. As Amnestor finishes his coffee he sees Alex entering his office.

"Yes, Smith?" Amnestor asks.

"Um, I'm guessing Ronnie couldn't convince you," Alex says.

"You are correct."

"Well then look at it this way, having us in this club makes us less likely to get into fights!"

"Alex, your club is the only club that has been involved in not just one but two fights in the past 2 weeks."

"Yeah I give up," Alex says as he leaves the office.

As Amnestor goes to open his computer, Elizabeth walks into the room. Amnestor looks towards Elizabeth. Elizabeth looks towards Amnestor. The two continue to look at each other.

"Yeah this is impossible," Elizabeth says as she turns and walks away.

After a bit, Marcus walks into the office.

"No," Amnestor states.

Marcus turns around and exits the office.

Marcus & Ronnie are sitting on the couch in the living room of The Everst Family Home trying to come up with solutions to their problem.

"Maybe we could give him an apple?" Marcus suggests.

"No I think that guy only runs on coffee and depression," Ronnie replies.

As the two continue to brainstorm they hear the front door to the house opening. The two look to see that Sally Everst has just entered the house.

"Sorry for taking so long, I had to explain to someone how full body tattoo sessions can't be done in one sitting," Mrs. Everst groans as she sees Marcus & Ronnie sitting on the couch, "Oh hey, looks like Marcus is over too."

"Hi, Mrs. Everst!" Marcus says, "we're just trying to figure out how to stop our club from shutting down."

"Oh no, it is? Who's the one that's doing that I can go give him a piece of my mind!"

"It's our club advisor and history teacher, Aken Amnestor," Ronnie answers. As he answers he notices that his mom's face has a surprised look to it.

"Amnestor? I didn't realize that guy still worked there," Sally Everst says as she sits down on a nearby chair.

"Wait, you know Mister Amnestor?" Ronnie asks.

"Back when your dad went to Starlight High, Amnestor was just starting off his career as a teacher," Sally Everst begins to say, "I thought he quit after that incident."

Marcus looks up at Mrs. Everst and then asks, "What incident?"

Sally Everst sighs as she continues, "I went to Seastar High so I wasn't there when it happened, but Ronnie's dad was so he told me the story regarding Ivan a few times."

"You mind telling us the story, it might help us keep our club alive!" Ronnie asks.

"If you want to hear it then I'll tell you the story," Mrs. Sally Everst answers.

Ronnie & Marcus nod as they prepare themselves to learn about the incident that occurred at the start of Mr. Amnestor's career. The incident that made him who he is today.
