Dungeon and Bet

There were hundreds of people currently standing in a ground chatting with each other and enjoying their time, On the surface everyone seemed relaxed and calm but everyone was extremely tense.

After all this was the day that their fate would be decided, The entrance exam of one of the greatest if not the greatest Academies, It was said that no matter how weak or dumb a person be as long as they managed to get into the Royal Hunter Academy.

They would have a prestigious life with success, Currently the crowd that covered the open ground had people of all ages from old to young. The gates of the academy were open for anyone.

Since affinity to an element could awaken at any point there was no point in creating an academy for a certain age group.

In the middle of the massive crowd there were 2 youngsters that attracted a lot of attention, One was a good looking boy that had a lean build and tall height. But what stood out the most about him was his eyes.

They were dark red and looked exactly like the eyes of a demon, Especially because of the way his eyes had confidence making them looking even more terrifying.

Beside him was a goddess with a perfect hourglass figure, She had big boobs and big ass with a thin waist.

They both were wearing clothes that perfect suited their bodies, The man had a black compression shirt that complimented his body and black track pants which suited him.

Meanwhile the girl was wearing a white crop top and some tight leggins which didn't restrict her movement but also made her "Assets" stand out.

The couple were getting stares of lust from both the genders, However their confidence remained strong and they stood still without showing any sign of awkwardness.

Suddenly all of the attention was drawn towards the front of the ground where a massive amount of mana was being concentrated, The sheer amount of mana made everyone tense including Jake.

It was as if the mana was spreading out and choking them but that feeling only lasted for a few seconds as The concentrated mana transformed into a Gate.

Looking at the massive gate in front of them everyone was mesmerized, If people didn't know that there were monsters behind these gates that could kill them The gates would be considered the 8th wonder of world.

It looked breathtaking, The centre of the circular gate was pitch black and it was filled with a never ending darkness. However the edges of the gate was thing and the sunlight pierced through it dispersing into a wide range of colours.

Everyone looking at the gate had different thoughts, Some were looking at it as an obstacle that they must conquer to build a better future.

Some looked at it as the passageway to the life they desire while some didn't even think and just admired the beauty.

However there was one thing that everyone knew, This gate was the changing point of their life.

"ATTENTION!" A loud shout could be heard which attracted the crowds gaze, A woman was standing right beside the gate and her aura was escaping her body.

Even a blind person could feel her power, Her mana was stronger than the gate itself and she stood their silently until everyone was paying attention.

"YOU WILL COME HERE ONE BY ONE AND PLACE YOUR HAND ON THIS ORB!" She said while pointing at the orb that was beside her on a table.

"AFTER THAT YOU WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER! NOW COME HERE ONE BY ONE WITHOUT CAUSING ANY TROUBLE!"

Her voice made every one obey her and any one with any stupid thoughts didn't dare to do anything as they instinctively knew how they would end up.

"Fire Element - Level 5"

A voice came from the orb and the woman nodded and let the first girl go into the dungeon.

"Wind element - level 6"

Again The woman nodded and let the older man enter the dungeon.

Next was another old man who looked to be in in his 60's, He put his arm on the orb and the orbw shone.

"Lightning element - Level 1"

This time the woman didn't nod instead she stood in front of the man with cold eyes and said,

"Give up on this test" 

"What?" Asked the man, His faced showed confusion and he thought he heard her wrong.

"You are too weak!"

"I have the lightning element!" Said the man this time with anger, but the woman didn't budhe rather she released her aura which she was concealing and said again.

"You are too weak!"

The tone of her voice was the same, the words were same and even her stance was the same however this time a crushing feeling covered the man as he didn't dare to open his mouth and quietly left.

* Erina POV *

I looked at the way that the old man was kicked out and couldn't help but feel nervous after all master was also a level one! Without him there's no point in completing the trial.

As more and more people got kicked out my nervousness grew i couldn't help but bite on my thumb to calm my nervousness.

Suddenly as if noticing my nervousness Master turned towards me with his usual confident smirk on his face and said,

"Hehe don't worry I will handle it"

His one sentence immediately brought me back to reality and I couldn't help but feel a soothing feeling, Even though my entire life I was treated like a princess I envied my brother.

He would always keep his words no matter what the situation is or how many people were against him, He would always excell in whatever he did.

That made me naturally compete with him, However under the development of my new affinity I lost touch with reality and started to look down on my own brother.

That competition which was fun turned into a game of torture where I purposely made his life hell! I purposely spread rumours about him at school and made him loose all his friends, I made everyone in the school bully him.

What was I even thinking!

But alas the things I had done can not be forgiven nor can be changed.

All I can do is serve my Master with my soul and body and trust him.

* Jake POV *

Even I was surprised by this selection since Lightning elements were extremely rare and if that man were to go anywhere else he would immediately be accepted without any question. 

However here he wasn't even treated like a human, He was treated like a dog that came in the wrong street.

Though I felt slightly nervous about what would happen but i knew one thing, There was no point in wasting my time thinking about the various possibilities.

I just waited for my turn and relaxed.

Walking up to the orb I placed my hand on it and it shone and said,

"Earth element - level 1"

I had purposely inserted only earth mana since I wanted to keep my fire affinity a secret, Immediately i could see cold eyes stare at me and I looked back towards them.

"Give up on the test!"

"Hmm.....No" I replied with no hesitation, I wanted to finish this exam this year itself, waiting another year will be a waste of my time.

After having to deal with many low leveled students the teacher had already lost her temper and she immediately released her mana which made the entire crowd almost choke.

"I said give up"

Her mana materialised as a huge amount of mana that resembles the ocean covered her putting a lot of pressure on me.

However in the massive storm there was a small bird that still persisted

My mana couldn't compare to hers in quantity or quality however the mana of a person when materialised acts according to the will of its weilder.

Even with a very small amount of mana, I stayed strong with the same calm expression.

"And I said no"

* 3rd person POV *

The teacher whose pressure had managed to blow away a lot of students looked at the boy who stood in front of her with curiosity in her eyes.

She stopped releasing her pressure and with an excited smile she said,

"YOU ARE INTERESTING BOY! HOW ABOUT THIS IF YOU MAKE IT OUT ALIVE I WILL GIVE YOU $3,00,000"

Gasps could be heard from the crowd, even though there were a lot of rich people standing there the majority were still ones that came from poor families.

But contrary to what everyone expected the boy just laughed and put forth another bet,

"That's too boring! How about I get 1st place and you give me $5,00,000"

This made the teacher smile even more and she just shook hands with the boy,

"Very well brat! Let's see what you can do"

Everyone in the crowd just looked at the boy admiring his guts
