Chapter 6: Colorful Mana

Gu Jin stared at the member of the Magic Awakening Association and always felt that the information is incomplete.

Anyways this matter is not her concern.

"Let's commence the ceremony of Mana Awakening."

Gu Jin stared at the member who just finished his speech.

His aura was surrounded by red mist though it was mild.

The person was a young man with a handsome face, nevertheless, his insightful eyes betrayed his real age.

Gu Jin was curious.

'Did this man suffer a lot in his childhood or has lived in a difficult environment, to begin with.'

Later Gu Jin knew that in the Magic World, it was quite common for a person's age to be 300 years.

With the advancement of a Magician's level, there is an increase in the number of years a person can live as well as the body structure.

"Girls will have their awakening in this hall while boys will have the awakening in the hall on the left."

The boys left after specific instructions.

After their departure, the Hall was emptied by half.

All left was a crowd of 2333 girls.

Most of them were from the age of 4 to 10.

Soon the awakening started.

It was a whole new experience for Gu Jin.

The line started from the age group of 4.

No one from the age group of 4 to 9 was able to awaken the Mana.

The previous excitement was now swapped with nervousness and fear.

Next in line was the age group of 10.

Surprisingly many orphans awakened Red and Orange Mana.

The instructors as well as Magic Association's members were pleasantly surprised.

Though the member who gave the speech remained impassive all this while

When the age group of 13 ended with awakening almost every one of them was selected.

"Now let's start with 14 years old."

The immature girl named Huang Li arrogantly walked up to the stage.

Placing her hand on the crystal ball, she circulated the Mana.

"Congratulations Miss Huang you have awakened Orange Mana."

"Oh, my god!! Orange Mana? Huang Li is the 130th person to get an Orange Mana out of 1000 people"

Huang Li stood proudly in front of all the praises.

If she had a tail it would have gone straight up to the sky.

The smile on the members of the Magic Association became a little more sincere.

Huang Li acted as if she remembered something and looked in Gu Jin's direction.

She asked loudly, "Gu Jin didn't you bet to awaken Mana this year? Please don't forget about it."

Gu Jin stared at Huang Li deadly.

One must know that there was a person like Huang Li who loved courting death in Gu Jin's Association.

She would have shot her to the death already.

Thought it was still not late.

Gu Jin thought.

From her cold emotionless face, one would never know her dark thoughts.

Time passed by and it was now Gu Jin's turn.

For the first time in both lifetimes, Gu Jin was feeling excited.

A butterfly was crashing into the walls of her stomach.

She placed her hand on the crystal ball.

Closing her eyes she tried to concentrate.

A spiritual world was slowly forming in front of her

The spiritual world was just like a separate part of a galaxy.

Just as she was observing her surroundings few tiny red particles floated toward her.

After the red particle, orange particles, yellow particles, green, blue, indigo, violet, white, black, and golden particles entered her body.

Her body was glowing like a colorful butterfly.

A colorful wing slowly formed on her back.

Just then a suction tried to snatch the particles.

Gu Jin tried to tightly secure the mana in her body.

Alas, red, orange, and yellow mana still was sucked away.

That suction was still trying to suck her green particles.

'Shameless'

Gu Jin cursed.

Her dangerous aura was slowly leaking out.

The suction seem to be intimidated and stopped sucking.

Just as she was lamenting the loss of her 3½ Mana, she heard many voices and a surprising grasp.

Slowly opening her eyes she saw the shocked faces.

Others were looking at her with fear, panic, and shock.

Few were looking at her with admiration.

The members of the Magic Awakening Association were smiling so widely that their eyes were almost closed.

The member who gave the speech was looking at her deeply.

Gu Jin turned her attention to the crystal ball.

The ball was showing a yellow-greenish glow.

Seeing so Gu Jin was speechless.

Wait so did she just stop the Crystal Ball to show her true Mana?

So what about the color which entered her body after indigo?

Just then a voice sounded.
