Chapter 34: Frost Drake And One-Eyed Leopards

The sheer intensity and ferocity of the flames were truly breathtaking to behold, and their power was enough to stand against an Advance Level Mage.

Now Gu Jin understood that Ren Aiguo was a genius even among his peers of the same level.

Gu Jin saw that the situation was getting out of hand and hurriedly cast her most tricky spell,

"Plant Mist."

A few thick plant vines appeared in front of Gu Jin. 

Ren Aiguo chuckled and started dealing with them.

However, with each vine that was burned down, a green mist started appearing shrouding the area.

Ren Aiguo felt something was amiss and turned toward Gu Jin's direction, but since the green mist was dense, he was not able to sense Gu Jin's position. 

He used his Advanced-level element Wind element.

"Whirlwind."

A strong gust of wind cleared up the green mist.

Ren Aiguo saw that there was no one standing, meaning the old lady escaped.

He tried to sense her aura but to his surprise, he wasn't able to sense anything.

"Huh!"

Ren Aiguo for the first time felt like a failure.

Who would have expected that a mere Primary-Level Mage without any Magic Tool was able to escape from the hand of a Heaven-Rank Mage?

Of course, a part of it was because he underestimated the old lady's capability, and part of it was due to her element...

"You are quite interesting miss."

A smirk appeared on his face while saying so.

Gu Jin spat coldly and entered her apartment.

Who would have thought that a Heaven-Rank Mage would be shameless enough to attack a primary-level mage?

After staying in the Magic School Academy for more than 4 months, she got to know who Ren Aiguo was.

Ren Aiguo was one of the highly valued Heaven-Rank Mages of the Capital City. Due to some reason, he was assigned to work in the Magic Awakening Association.

However, this information was known by very less people. The reason why she was able to know all of this was because of the token given to her by Ren Aiguo.

And the token carried by Supreme Mage and the token given by Ren Aiguo matched.

Only those mages that are at the level of Emperor Mage and more are given these tokens, as the token holds the power to directly communicate with the Elder of Magic Association.

When Gu Jin searched more about the tokens she got to know that each member of the Justice Council of the Magic Association holds such tokens.

She checked the list and found the name of Ren Aiguo along with his cultivation level. From there she knew that Ren Aiguo was a Heaven Rank Mage.

Other than feeling stunned, Gu Jin's sense of crisis activated.

Why the hell would a Heaven Rank Mage, be so curious about her mana? Why would he give her such a valuable token?

What if...he has some ill motives? 

Gu Jin wanted to laugh at her childish thought.

She thought she would be able to fight off any rank of Mage because of how unique her mana was but today she understood that rank matters the most.

Even though she was able to fight with Ren Aiguo for more than 20 minutes, it was only because Ren Aiguo was not taking her seriously.

The disparity between their strength created a sense of crisis in her.

"Sister, are you okay?" Si Kai's concerned voice brought Gu Jin out of her thoughts.

Gu Jin smiled and nodded,

"Yes. Anyways tell me what you require for the next stage?"

Even though Si Kai's first stage didn't require any resources the same can't be said for the next stages.

Si Kai remained silent.

"What happened?" Gu Jin turned toward Si Kai when Si Kai didn't reply to her.

"Um...Sister, could you remove your makeup, first?"

"Why?"Gu Jin was curious as to why Si Kai suddenly made such a strange request.

"Uh...you are looking ugly." Si Kai said in a blunt tone.

Gu Jin: "..." This brat.

Gu Jin angrily smiled and said,

"When you grow up as an ugly man, I will refuse to acknowledge you as my younger brother."

Si Kai: "..."

"Sister, you should worry about yourself, I have heard that those who are beautiful during their teenage, look bad when they grow up."

"You!!." Gu Jin was speechless.

At last, she removed her disguise and returned to the living room.

"Now tell me, what all things you require for your future cultivation."

With her current bank balance of 29 million, not only a high-grade Mystic Seed can be bought but a high-grade Beast Core can be bought too.

"Sister, I require 5 Frost Drake Beast Core and 10 One-Eyed Leopards."

Gu Jin laughed lightly and said,

"Kai, you don't have to tell me the total Beast Core you will require to reach Beast Master Level. Haha."

Si Kai smiled awkwardly,

"Sister I am not telling you the total Beast Core required, I am telling you the core I will require to reach Beast Trainer Level."

Gu Jin: "..."

She knew that sponsoring Si Kai wouldn't be easy, but she never imagined that the price would be so high.

A single Frost Drake Beast Core costs around 20 million since Frost Drake was a Master-Class Beast, and is only found at the North Pole.

On the other hand, One-Eyed Leopards are Solider Class Beast and are easily found in the forest of Fujio City, but only those above Advance-level Mage can take down such type of beast.

One-Eyed Leopard's Beast Core costs around 10 million which is relatively low compared to Frost Drake, however, the 10 Beast Cores of One-Eyed Leopard will round up to 100 million.

The same goes with Frost Darke.

In other words, either she earns 200 million or she hunts down those two types of beats for which she needs to be at Super-Level Cultivation.

Gu Jin never understood the real meaning of poverty in her previous life, since from her birth the one thing she never lacked was money.
