Unexpected Fame

Fu Yue woke up at his usual time and went on to do his morning routine in a daze.

Running into Silence last night still felt unbelievable to him despite being fully awake. Even though the man seemed to be sincere, he did not hold much hope.

Giving a slight shake of his head, Fu Yue slowly sat down on the couch. He then took out his phone and went online. To his surprise, the moment he did so his phone almost froze due to numerous notifications from Weibo.

"...What's happened?" With a head full of question marks, Fu Yue quickly went to check Weibo to see what seemed to be the problem.

Roughly skimming through the post, he finally understood why he suddenly gained such a big heat overnight.

"I was so preoccupied with Silence that I forgot about Caesar's easter egg."

Since his stream was the first to discover Caesar's special line, a lot of people swarmed in to watch his previous stream and he amassed a lot of followers in return.

Many TOBH accounts clipped the video and edited Caesar's lines from his stream into a short video. One of them was from a well-known account in the game community named Cheap Grass.

Cheap Grass was a loyal fan of TOBH. The amount of time he poured into making TOBH content was amendable. Even IF, themselves acknowledged Cheap Grass for his dedication to their game and often invited him to do the beta testing.

Cheap Grass had a lot of connections with internal staff, therefore, he knew most of the upcoming events that were not yet announced to the public.

However, Cheap Grass did not only limit himself to the gameplay. He also acted as a TOBH reporter and kept everyone up to date about e-sport players.

Thanks to him, everyone had a bunch of melon seeds to eat every day watching the scandal and drama between pro players.

You could say that Cheap Grass was the scourge for pro players and they couldn't fathom how their private life could make their way to this cheap guy.

All things aside, being introduced by Cheap Grass was a golden opportunity for him.

Fu Yue's lips curved into a smile, "I can't believe that someone is sending me charcoal in snowy weather."

Interested in what Cheap Grass had to say about his stream Fu Yue happily clicked the video.

Cheap Grass's thin and soft voice was soon heard coming out through the screen, "Last night during the stream of a rookie game anchor called Yueyue, he locked in Chase while his Jungler who was his duo locked in Caesar. When it comes to Caesar, everyone should know that this hero is a bit SUS or cringe but you know what? He has another ultimate line that makes you weak at the knees and no couple has ever activated this during the past four years of his release!"

While Cheap Grass was passionately narrating, Fu Yue's gameplay was being played in the background showing off his flashy performance together with his Jungler.

Figuring his intention, Fu Yue's eyes held a tinge of appreciation toward this stranger who kindly promoted a small game anchor like him without making it too obvious.

"Here are the lines that you guys should have already known."

[You catch my eye the most. Do your best to survive until our next meeting~]

"Caesar will say this to his first partner in the game. After all, early into the game, whoever got marked by Caesar would become the enemy team's target so he is referring to this situation."

[You are quite something I will give you that.]

"If his partner does not die until Caesar can mark them for the second time, he will give you a small praise."

"Fourth mark. He is referring to the nightmares that he ate but we are dirty minds so we do not think in that direction lol"

Cheap Grass proceeded to give a long depressing sigh, "If you and your partner's matching rate is not over 90% and are not good players, don't dream of getting Caesar to say this. The stack needed to be at least 20 and neither Caesar nor his partner were allowed to die during the game which was incredibly hard to achieve. Yet, against all odds, there is a couple cough a pair of intimate friends achieved this last night."

After Caesar's voice died down, Cheap Grass's voice excited voice floated over, "Everyone, the mighty Caesar has finally fallen in love! Tell me, does your heart not flutter hearing this deep helpless voice?! I might have fallen for my Jungler had he said this to me haha. Anyways, all jokes aside, Yueyue's skills are no joke and so do his partner. According to what I've found, Yueyue is not a pro player but it is hard to say for his partner. Don't attack me... But doesn't Yueyue's partner kind of remind you of Silence in his debut days? Haha but of course, it is all a joke."

Wow... You don't know how right you are...

Fu Yue internally praised Cheap Grass for his sharp eyes. This guy had touched the truth but failed to grasp the essence otherwise he would have created more exploding news.

Fu Yue was a veteran who experienced this beforehand and knew how much these people liked this kind of hot information to attract traffic.

For example Shocking news! Silence is chasing a small unknown game anchor! Here is the evidence!

Merely from imagining this scene, Fu Yue could see himself being attacked by Silence's girlfriends/boyfriends and husbands/wives from all directions which made his skin crawl.

In the meantime, Cheap Grass who did not realize that he had missed something extraordinary was about to conclude today's video in a good mood.

His words fell and a big title suddenly appeared on the screen.

Love blossomed in the middle of the Doomed Forest.

Fu Yue's face abruptly stiffened, "..." I had a bad feeling about this.

[Jungler: I am going to mark Chase in a moment.]

Immediately after, the screen switched to Caesar marking Chase before even buying his starting items. Cheap Grass cheekily zoomed into the timer which stated that it had just been literally 1 second into the game.

He even made a sly remark in return, "Bro, hold your pants. You are in such a rush to mark him?! >///<"< p>

The upcoming part was the buff transfer from killing Yuz. Fu Yue heard his voice coming from the video saying that he did not need the kill to which Caesar coolly responded with 'Give you blue'.

Toward this scene, Cheap Grass suddenly added a random scene where everyone in the theatre abruptly stood up and applauded fiercely.

Soon after, the part where Chase was targeted by four people came up. Since everyone knew beforehand that Chase wouldn't die, it was easy to guess that he was likely rescued by someone or simply put Caesar.

As expected, the whole map rapidly turned grim and Caesar in his demon form flew to where Chase was. The moment Caesar landed, another clip was edited in.

Fu Yue watched on speechlessly as an unknown tall man edited with Caesar's head profile went to slap four people one by one while Chase was cheering on the sideline. When the screen switched back to the game, only four corpses littered the ground while Chase and Caesar casually recalled to base.

The corner of Fu Yue's lips twitched fiercely seeing that Cheap Grass put more effort into making this bonus clip than the first part. He even made it look like those four had an emergency meeting inside a room with a big whiteboard that had Chase's and Caesar's photos pinned on it.

After those four furiously spoke gibberish for a bit, they all nodded their heads and decided to go for Caesar instead.

Therefore, the scene where Fu Yue rushed to steal Dange's Ult unsurprisingly appeared and he was edited into a shirtless buffed man that beat the shit out of everyone who laid their hands on Caesar.

To add icing to the cake, Cheap Grass zoomed into their chat to show how much his teammates and enemies suffered from their supposed PDA.

At the end of the video, Cheap Grass ended with Caesar's special line and he concluded in a serious voice, "If these two aren't together yet, it is a crime."

Fu Yue found himself scoffing at this remark as he rolled his eyes at Cheap Grass.

Ever since knowing that the other party was Silence, Fu Yue was no longer swayed by public opinion.

Silence was famous for being a game idiot. This statement was made by Zizi who claimed to be the closest to Silence in the S6 team.

There were a lot of famous clips circulating on the internet displaying how other celebrities or influencers made a pass on Silence but the latter seemed to be blind and was unable to see them.

The most popular clip was when a hot flower in the entertainment industry Duan Xiyi was invited as a special guest to one of the TOBH's events.

He was a Dominant Omega who was one year older than Silence and was incredibly popular due to his high box-office drama.

Duan Xiyi was voted as a dream Omega lover for Alphas, therefore, everyone was looking forward to his interaction with Silence, a Dominant Alpha.

As expected, even the beautiful Duan Xiyi couldn't help but be attracted by the ridiculously handsome Captain Wei. Many witnessed Duan Xiyi shyly approach Silence and strike up a conversation with him.

No one knew what they were talking about. They only saw Silence's expression remain unchanged as he spoke a few words to Duan Xiyi before the latter's face changed into ghastly paled and angrily left.

It was not until an anonymous person uploaded a short video that they secretly took with clear audio did everyone knew the full story.

Duan Xiyi first praised Silence's handsome looks to which the latter responded with a polite nod. Duan Xiyi then confidently suggested exchanging WeChat and game IDs to queue together.

At his request, Silence unhurriedly turned his head to look at Duan Xiyi who was giving him a captivating smile. He then said with a deadpan face, "Who are you?"

You had to say that the internet was turned upside down once this clip was uploaded.

Duan Xiyi's angry fans called Silence for being rude toward a delicate Omega while Silence's fans called Duan Xiyi, a thirsty Omega.

The war went on for a while but at the end of the day, Silence's fans' fighting capabilities were far stronger than those who chased normal stars and won gloriously.

They even made a meme to mock Duan Xiyi. The meme consisted of three panels. The first one was the picture of a shy Duan Xiyi with the edited text 'Say three words and I am yours'. In the second panel, it was the picture of expressionless Silence with the edited text 'Who are you?'. In the final panel, it was a gray picture of Duan Xiyi with wide eyes open together with a line appearing on top of his head that said 'You have been slain!'.

Even though Fu Yue knew that he shouldn't be laughing at someone's misery, he couldn't help but slap his thigh in respect for Silence.

This man gets his priorities straight! He won't be swayed by worldly desires such as lust!

Due to this reason, Fu Yue felt ashamed after misunderstanding Silence's intention.

From henceforth, no matter what Wei Chen says or does, Fu Yue no longer thinks in that direction.
