Eat Wand Adventurer

Naomi couldn't help but stare at the wand in front of her, hardly registering that she had leveled up. She had just created something, something that was pretty much out of nothing.

She reached forward and plucked the floating object. A pale brown stained stick with smooth surface. It was simple, except for the little handle area where she had fitted it into her palm.

Her eyes flickered from the item and forward towards sparks which were lifting from the shadows, the blade hitting the slate stone ground as if clumsily swung.

"That wasn't it! Take a step back! Lemme try!"

Amateurs... Novices were invading her Dungeon!

Looking over the screen that had appeared in front of her, she pursed her lips.

It was telling her to open her skills menu?

"<Skills>"

Another greenish screen overlapped with her <Status>, revealing a shop-like window, revealing Classes, along with passive and active Skills underneath.

[[ Classes ]]

[[ Skills ]]

|| Regeneration Lv. 1

This is a passive skill which allows the user to heal at an accelerated rate when out of danger. 1 SP.

|| Cuteness Lv. 1

This is a passive skill that effects how others perceive the user, allowing them to subtly manipulate them. The higher the level of this skill, the greater and more blatant the user can manipulate others with their cuteness alone. 1 SP.

|| Tough Scales Lv. 1

This is an active skill which when activated, covers 25% of the user's body in white shiny scales as additional armor. Its is highly resistant to bladed weapons. It has a ten minute cool down once deactivated. 1 SP.

|| Aether Elemental Breath Lv. 1

This is a raw unsaturated energy attack emitted from the mouth. As Aether is fundamentally the source of all mana, it is extensively hard to defend against, even at low levels. It has a 30 Second cool down once used, five second fire rate. Fire and Damage Rate gets higher when leveled. 1 SP

|| Quick MetaCraft Lv. 1

Don't feel like having to constantly make new items from scratch in your mind? This is a passive skill which allows the user to spend AP in order to craft things they've already made once before. 2 SP

Naomi glared at these choices which she was given. There were quite a few good ones. She didn't know if any of the choices would disappear if she chose one. Especially when it came to the classes.

She liked having variety in the life that she lead before, and she didn't want to just have to use one skillset. Having multiple was always a good idea, as least for her.

Right now she couldn't even ball a fist correctly, as even in her previous life, she had no idea how to fight. If she were to punch these adventurer guys, it was most definitely going to break her thumb.

She looked to her hand which was holding the wand for a moment, then back towards the classes. As if using a stylus, she poked the Magic Caster lv. 1 at the top of the screen.

[ PING! Congratulations, you've unlocked more Magic-based Classes! Mana Status Unlocked! ]

[ PING! Mana Status: 25/25 ]

Startled, she jumped before blinking as the system had abruptly spoke up after a long while of its silence, she pursed her lips. "If you were a person, I'd shove this wand down your throat..."

[ PING! Challenge Accepted. ]

"… Whatever," She shook her head and huffed, looking over the skills, ignoring the new classes for now. She just wanted to get some useful skills for the fight, a fight which she didn't want to get hurt in.

Based on the sound of a blade sparking on the slate stone floors and walls, their swings were far too wide. It was clear that they were clumsy as she could even hear their sloppy footwork as they stumbled around fighting an unseen enemy.

Poking the 'Regeneration' skill with the wand, she smirked as it became passive. Even though she hadn't been hurt before, she already felt as if she was being comforted in an unknown warmth.

Poking the tip of her tongue out from her lips for a split second, as she prodded the Aether Elemental Breath. Suddenly the moment she had taken on this skill, a search of mystical energy pulsed through her, as if she had been plugged into some sort of powerful array deep inside of herself.

"Wha… What was that?"

[ PING! You've gained a new organ that allows you to Breath Aether! ]

[ PING! Are you ready to take care of your first adventurers?! ]

Gripping the wand tightly between her thumb and forefinger, she gulped. She had been cut with a knife before, she knows what that felt like. Yet she had never been anywhere near a sword, and just imagining it hurting her, covered her in goose bumps.

"Oi! Maybe I should've gotten the scales!" She felt as if she was going to second guess herself as she started to rapidly pad forward, her soft dainty boots hardly making a sound except for the slightest of pattering.

Minutes, which felt like hours, went by and finally she was standing able to see several lanterns in front of her. Two men, both in brown fringed leather armor. They both seemed rather young, and they had a pair of hooded cloaks on their backs.

Gulping, she quickly took in the scene as they were fighting a small squad of four goblins.

Both of them were swinging their swords, far too high and far too stiffly. Their blades traveled right over the little green midgets and the tiny monsters cackled, their big noises snorting as they did.

Seeing this, kind've made her feel a bit better. If not safer.

"Pft!" She cupping the hand over her mouth as she found herself laughing, she couldn't help but see the two boys as inferior or even stupid.

"Huh!?" One of the men looked over at the girl, his eyes practically shooting out of his head. "Hey! There's a little girl in the dungeon!" Gesturing towards the girl as he only had one hand on his sword's hilt, "Girly! Come to Big Brother!"

"Oooh... She's so cute." The other one observed, only slightly interested until he saw her two toned heterochromia eyes, as he was flailing his weapon about.

"Puh! Big Brother?"

The moment he referred to himself as her big brother, her face became wickedly blank. Her mix-matched eyes centered on him and she raised the wand, walking towards the two of them.

The Goblins all looked over at her, jumping slightly as they hadn't noticed her earlier. "Waka!?"

Naomi glanced down at the Goblins as they raised their clubs slightly.

One of the amateur adventurers knocking one of the clubs aside with a long swing, again failing to actually hit the intended target.

"Ha! I meant to do that!"

Naomi's gaze moved to the other one for a split second before she raised the wand a bit more. Her fingers were trembling. This item only had ten charges! How did she use this thing?!

"Eat Wand Adventurer Scum!" She'd squeak aloud and with a flick of her wrist, nothing happened... ensuring an awkward silence between all participants.

"You laughed at us… Yet you don't know how to u---" The man was cut off by the sudden blaze that sprung from the tip of the wand. Golden fire engulfed the men at close range, ripping the oxygen out of their lungs and cooking them from the inside out.

Their screams were soon drowned out by the roaring end of the wand.

Her eyes were on the flame as it was beginning to die down, letting the light reflect off her eyes. She swore her heart skipped a beat and she swallowed hard. She could feel the heat on her fingers.

The goblins which had once surrounded the two men were dancing around her. Their clubs above their head, chanting the single word he heard them shout just prior!

[ PING! Killed your first Adventurers, a party of Two! +20 TP +25 AP ]

[ PING! LEVEL UP! +100 AP +3 SP ]

"Hehe!" She giggled cheerfuly as she curled her lips in, smiling at the wand as she lowered it as she now held it in two hands. This weapon was amazing! It wiped out two newbie Adventurers!

That's when her eyes flickered on over towards the charred corpses covered in burnt leather armor. Their cloaks weren't even singed.

Fighting an upchuck, the need to vomit, she dropped the wand letting it clatter to the floor.

She covered her mouth with her forearm as she dryly heaved forward. "Ew..." She forced herself to then take a deep inhale, only to pause midway, sniff the air.

What was that aroma? She sniffed the air some more, stepped forward, one foot at a time. Eventually she inched over to the bodies, and stared down at them.

They smelled like Texas style barbecue ribs just before they had the rub added onto them. Her nausea was quickly dispersed, replaced by the feeling of hunger. "I..." She wheezed from the smoke, "...I can't eat that..." Her right had went up to cover her mouth, only for her fingers to curl over her lower lip.

Her big eyes tracing over their intact belongings.

Reaching down and grabbing onto one of the cloaks and yanking it clear from a designated corpse, she took several steps back.

"Mmmm..." She then watched as the Goblins pounced on the dead bodies… Pulling off body parts, digging out organs, tearing off clothes, in a matter of minutes the four of those creatures polished everything.

All that was left was their personal effects and bones scattered about on the floor in front of her.

As she flung the cloak over her shoulders and fastened its strap around her neck. As she pulled the hood over her head, she knelt down in front of the items sprawled out around her.

[ PING! Use your <Inventory> to store items without having to carry them! ]

"Eh? Really?" Attempting to mentally use the <Inventory> command, a new screen appeared in front of her and she beamed happily. Her fingers wiggling, she picked up the wand at her feet and stuffed it into the inventory.
