Meria and Poseidon's embrace was interrupted by the loud thunder. Waves started crashing to the rocky shore. Lightning stared striking. Fog started clouding the sea surface.
Meria don't know what is causing such things at the same time. Poseidon on the other hand knows who it is.
"What a lovely scene before me!" a high pitch voice said. The thick fog is making it hard for Meria to see who is it. Nevertheless, she doesn't have a good feeling about it. She faced her father and saw that unlike her he's still composed. He looks unmoved by the foreign presence.
They're half soaked in water and when her eyes trailed back to where the voice came from, the fog started vanishing and a mermaid came into their view.
Her hair as black as her eyes and tail and an electric eel on her both side. Her face have scales and her nails are long. She holds a long cep-tar that has a sharp edge and she doesn't look nice.
"Lemery..." Poseidon whispered with venom
She look at her father in confusion. Lemery. She knew she heard that name before, but she can't remember when or where. One thing is for sure, she doesn't look like she will make friends anytime soon.
"Aren't you excited to see me again little brother?" she said smirking
Meria's forehead creased in confusion as she look at her father who's gaze is still fixed on the mermaid.
Brother? She didn't know her father has a sibling. Despite the questions in her mind, she remained quiet.
"Look who you got there!" she said noticing Meria's presence. "My niece!"
Meria's eyes met hers. She instantly felt the chills down her spine. "Who are you?" she asked coldly
Lemery smirked and turn to Poseidon, "You didn't mention me to her, brother?" she asked with a raised brow. "Well, I guess I have to do it myself then."
Lemery turn to Meria, "I am your aunt, dear. I'm sorry your father didn't told you about me. Oh well, let's move past that now and have our little reunion. Look at you! You've gown!"
Her voice could tear someone else's eardrums and her enthusiasm is bit too much that it doesn't shows in her action. One cannot easily know that she's faking it.
She was about to reach for Meria's face when Poseidon interrupted "Stop it, Lemery"
She smiled at him before bursting out into a fit if laughter. Thunders rolled and lightning strike as her voice pitch becomes higher and higher.
The laughter that seems to be caused by joy is slowly becoming dark and viscous to her ears.
"That's a nice idea, brother." she said with a smile "Maybe it's time for us to cut the drama and go straight to the point." her smile was gone as she said the last words.
"What do you want?" Poseidon asked
"You clearly know what I want, brother. I made it clear to you a long time ago, and I'm here to take what's mine."
"Oceana is not yours." Poseidon said "It will never be yours."
"Well let's see about that after I kill you."
Meria froze. If she's her father's sister that she claimed to be, how can she kill her own blood? Then she remembered a story Agnes once told her.
"Once there was a handsome price and he fell in love with a dark witch. The king was against it, but the prince didn't listen. He loved the witch and so he made a family with her. The baby was nothing like her father, nothing like a mermaid. Her eyes are pure black and she's almost covered by scales. The prince was devastated and chose to leave them behind and go back to the kingdom. He married another mermaid and have a family. Some says that the former family was dead and some says that they're roaming the dark seas, taking humans and mermaids that get lost there."
Isn't she the baby the myth was talking about? The myth was true then.
"You cannot rule Oceana, Lemery."
"I can," she said "but too bad you'll not be around by then."
Poseidon didn't answered.
"I have waited for so long. I have been hiding for so long because the people won't accept something slightly different than them. I have been pushed around and mocked. I was treated like dirt when I am a princess. I am at the bottom of the sea while you're enjoying the things that belongs to me." she said with grudge "I am the first born child, the throne belongs to me. Oceana belongs to me."
Once again she laughed with her high pitch voice, raised her hand with the cep-tar, and pointed it towards Poseidon. "It's time to go, dear brother..."

"What the hell is happening?" Joseph muttered as he look at the scene before his eyes. He immediately rushed out of the car.
"That's them" Mellisa confirmed
"But who's the other one?" Joseph asked nervously, his eyes turning to slits to see clearer but it's dark and foggy. They can barely see what's happening.
"Isn't that..." Cora trailed
"Lemery..." Yula finished. Two heads turn her direction while her eyes still fixed to the people they're looking for.
"B-But...How can she be alive?" Cora asked in disbelief
No one answered. Every eye is fixed to the three figures in the water. A high pitched laugh was heard followed by lightning and thunder that made them jump in their place. The current became more violent.
"That's not good..." Yula whispered
They can see how Lemery raised her hand and pointed the edge of her cep-tar to Poseidon. With eyes wide open, they gasped and held their breath.
"No!" Mellisa shouted as a lightning struck Poseidon. Her hands covering her mouth while her tears streamed down her face. Her knees started shaking uncontrollably. He was about to fall if Joseph didn't caught her.
Yula and Cora stood frozen on their place, stone shock.
Another thunder rolled from the sky. It was louder that the last one.
Joseph look at Mellisa who's still in tears. He can't stand there and do nothing.
His breath was rugged. His heart beating nervously as he look back to the place where he can barely see three figures.
"Meria..." He muttered before closing his eyes and dashing to the rocky part of the shore. He can hear Yula and Cora shouting for him to stop.
No it's not the Joseph he knew. Joseph wouldn't risk something for an unsure result. Joseph would think first before making a move. Joseph will make a plan before acting. The Joseph he knew wouldn't do the things he's doing right now.
But the thing is he doesn't care because that Joseph he knew haven't met someone who'll make him risk his life to save someone else's. That Joseph didn't felt the rush of life within him. That Joseph wouldn't mind anything that to grow his business.
That Joseph didn't felt completely alive until Meria.
That silver haired lady who I pulled out of the sea once upon a destined time.
