The moment you manage to turn your back, the chanting peters out, and a strange silence descends on the crowd.

The bodies that were upon you, crushing you, squeezing the breath out of you, slowly fall away. It stops all three of you in your tracks.

Then, you notice it: the crowd is parting to let someone pass. They're moving away to open a passage leading directly to the three of you.

At the other end, someone with his arm outstretched, holding a gun.

A gun pointed in your direction.
