The Merchant

Is your brother sick? I have the cure. Radiation? It's not a problem. Magic? Shh, don't tell anyone. Bubbly black drink? It's called Coke. Gold? Ahh I have tons of it. Luck was an unemployed loser who only knew how to play games. One day, while playing on his computer, Luck was exposed to solar energy and gained a mysterious power that allowed him to travel to and from another world. The other world he could travel to was a world where monsters roamed, kingdoms and empires existed, and a force called mana gave people superhuman powers. By traveling back and forth between these two worlds, Luck will enjoy being a merchant, carrying goods and trading between the two worlds, and making money by using the advantages of both worlds.

You Couldn't Find Another Girl!

"Dad, where's Luck?"

Elsa's excitement was evident in her voice.

"He was just in my office, but after he took the fruit seeds from me, he said he wanted to go to the marketplace and meet Horace and the rest of his staff."

Throwing the documents on the table, Elsa grabbed her sister's arm and ran out of the room.

"Dad, we are going to find Luck! Leave the wall issue of the compound to us!"

Looking after his daughters who ran away without turning back, Nikolai suddenly felt jealous.

"I'm willing to risk death to defend the wall of the compound and you two traitorous girls are running after a man!"

...

Luck, who had already arrived at the compound's marketplace, sat chatting with Horace, oblivious to what was going on.

Horace's eyes were dark underneath, as if he had not slept for a long time.

"I've found a few shops, but they're all a long way from the market square, and if the food we were going to sell was hamburgers, I wouldn't doubt it, but right now I don't even know what we're going to sell."

Luck smiled, aware that food from Earth was in great demand on Gliese.

"Don't worry about the food, just rent a good shop."

Horace was relieved to see Luck's confident expression.

"If you say so, I believe you, so which store would you choose? The smallest one is 100 m2 but it's the closest to the market center, the other one is a little further away than this first one but it's 225 m2 and the last one is the furthest from the market center but the biggest one is 350 m2."

"If you ask me, the 100 m2 one...

Luck had made up his mind before Horace had even finished.

 "Let's rent the 350 m2 place."

Horace, surprised by Luck's sudden interruption, was stunned for a moment.

"Luck, I have the 100 m2 place which is better! Even if the 350 m2 place is big, there is no point in having a big shop if there are no people to buy from us!"

Luck chuckled as he thought about the crowds at Monster Burger, his shop in the world, and the state of his old shop in Victory Town.

"Horace do you remember the last store in Victory Town, we could barely keep up with the customers...I don't want to end up in the same situation here."

"Yes, you're right, the shop in Victory Town was overflowing, but that shop was in the market square! This shop is far away from the market square! "

Luck put his hand on Horace's shoulder reassuringly.

"Dude, trust me, as long as the food we sell is good, people will flock to it!"

Horace remained silent.

Years of experience as a merchant had taught him that setting up shop where there was no flow of people was tantamount to a dead investment.

"Luck, I trust you, but I don't think it makes any sense..."

"Horace, I said trust me, go and rent that place."

Horace saw Luck's determination and didn't object any further.

"All right then, do you have any idea how to decorate the inside of the shop or should I take care of that?

"Do you have any idea how many tables and chairs we need?" Luck said thoughtfully.

Horace envisioned the empty space inside the shop and said, "We can put 25 tables in the space, tables for 4 people."

Luck shook his head negatively.

"Not every customer may come in groups of 4, we shouldn't force them to sit next to people they don't know, 50 tables of 2 people would be more appropriate than tables of 4, and if more than 2 people come in groups, we can combine the tables."

Horace's eyes lit up after hearing Luck's idea.

"Yes, that makes perfect sense! Otherwise only 2 people could occupy a table for 4 people! That would cost us money! Luck you're a genius!"

Luck was trying hard not to laugh.

Am I a genius?

It's something that's practiced in all fast food shops! I'm just copying it from them!

"Hahaha don't exaggerate Horace, you would have come up with that idea if you had thought about it!"

Horace scratched his head in embarrassment.

"I don't think so! All restaurant style establishments use tables for 4 people!

Tables for 2 are so innovative!

"Luck then I'll go and buy the kitchen equipment and the tables... It's going to be hard to find dining tables for 2 people so we might have to build new tables from scratch."

Luck frowned when he heard about the tables.

"We might have to build a dining table from scratch? How long will that take? Would it delay us opening the shop?"

"Yes, if it was a dining table for 4 people, we could easily find one, but I've never seen one of the 2-person dining tables we're talking about sold before, so it would have to be made from scratch, and it would take at least a month to get the materials and labor."

Luck whistled when he heard the one-month table preparation time.

"A month is a long time...okay, I'll set the dining table, you just take care of the utensils."

Horace nodded his head in understanding.

"All right, I'll buy the kitchen utensils and I'll hire a couple of new employees."

"Deal!"

Horace spoke to Luck for a little while longer and was about to leave Luck to tell Liam and the others the happy news and take care of the rest of the business when he stopped dead in his tracks.

"Luck!"

An excited shout echoed around the room.

"Huh?"

Luck turned around in surprise to see who was shouting his name and saw two figures running towards him, one blue and one red.

Recognizing the two charging at him, Luck didn't know what to do.

What is going on?

The two were running fast, as if they had no intention of stopping.

Luck swallowed as he began to feel the pressure of the two starfighters running towards him.

Did I do something bad?

I don't think I did...

But women are incomprehensible...

Apologize....

"LUCK!!!"

Elsa and Senna's simultaneous voices echoed across the field again.

Horace looked at Luck and then at the running Elsa and Senna and thoughts began to sprout in his mind.

Boss you ...

Oh, my God! Oh, my God!

The two daughters of the lord of the settlement and you....

Oh, my God!

Horace's mind was bursting with thoughts of Luck and the two girls.

How can we escape from here? Would the plastic masks work this time?

Boss, we were about to start a business here! You couldn't find another girl!
