"Stop saying things you know nothing about." Louisa snapped quickly. "I love Adele. So if I hurt her little heart in more ways than one, it is because I have never related with a child before. I don't yet know how to fathom the mind of a child."

All Samantha did was blink softly as she spat out that many words.

"I wouldn't be so careless, though," Louisa muttered almost immediately. "Just because I have now been reduced to carpet level by madam Eloise does not mean you should let your guard down, Samantha. You should not rejoice too early. As long as I am still under this roof, there are subtle and spontaneous moves I can make to claim what I want."

"You can't do any of this, Hazel. Your post is insignificant in this house. I came to make peace because I also learned that you have a little short of three days to maintain your head and remain in this house."
