Mystery Dinner part two

Hyungwon and everyone else looked at the ceiling to find Giselle's corpse pinned up there with a huge sword, her eyes still open. 'how the hell did she get up there?' thought Hyungwon. "Yaaahhhhhh" screamed the other ladies.

"Wait a minute, look carefully, that's not the real Giselle! It looks like a wax doll and *sniff* this isn't blood, it's diluted red paint." Said Hyungwon after properly analysing the scene. "And I bet we'll get the explanation from Giselle herself because there's no doubt that she's the one who set this up and screamed to make us run here, judging by our rooms' position and how fast we ran here she must still be in this room hiding somewhere. Come out Takatou Giselle!" Said Hyungwon. A clapping sound could be heard accompanied with a malicious laughter; it was Giselle, she came out of her wardrobe and said "well done Lee, the explanation is simple. When all of us got in our own rooms a letter has been pushed through my door and asked me to set things up this way and it was signed Rosencreuz." "I see..." Said Hyungwon and Akira-san.

"Don't scare us like that." Said Emrald. "What a pain" exclaimed Hinamori-san and Nagasaki-san.

"Hahahhahahah have you solved the first mystery, congratulations. This was the first mystery of the night, can you solve the rest? I assure you it won't be that easy, good luck dear participants."

A masked voice was heard when everyone was standing in Takatou Giselle's room. "That must be Rosencreuz, but why did he have to mask his voice?" Asked Emrald. The others were bewildered and went back to their rooms. They went to sleep unbeknownst to them what horror was beneath them.

The next morning the body of Mizobata Jun the butler and cook was found hanging in the kitchen. This time it was not just a wax doll, it was real. "Oh my god!" Said Akihito-kun and Akita-kun in utter shock. "This Rosencreuz wasn't joking." Said Hinamori-san, "leave this scene youngsters, hanging from the roof, mhhm mhhm I see, this was suicide, like Giselle got a letter yesterday Mizobata-kun got a letter too and in his letter he was asked to seriously suicide himself and create the second mystery." Said Hinamori-san all confident.

"Don't spout nonsense Hinamori-san. You're tarnishing the name of the Nagano police. There's no way this is suicide." Said Akira-san while adjusting his glasses. "Hmm and who are you to tell me that youngster?" Asked Hinamori-san. "He is the superintendent of police division one of Tokyo." Answered Emrald with a smile. "Huh? Such a young superintendent? Hmm.." said Hinamori-san. "Besides even if anyone got a letter instructing them to commit suicide just for the sake of creating the second mystery , no one would be stupid enough to actually do so." Said Hyungwon while examining the corpse carefully. "I see, I see, koraaaaa, who are you and what do you think you're doing?" Asked Hinamori-san. "Let him be." Said Akira-san stopping Hinamori-san from hitting Hyungwon, "he's my rival." 

"Rival? So many youngsters wanting to be detectives these days, we don't need amateur help." Groaned Hinamori-san. "We'll see if it is 'amateur help' like you say." Answered Akira-san. Hinamori-san felt deflated and decided to let the two young annoying detectives who think they are so clever handle the matter.

There was a black rose that pierced the throat of the corpse which showed it was definitely a murder, and under the hanged body there was no chair or anything without which it is impossible to hang oneself. The real cause of death must have been a sharp object used as weapon to pierce the throat and a black rose was stuffed in the wound. "But why would the killer trouble himself by hanging a dead corpse?" Thought Hyungwon loudly. 

"Ara, it must be to be flashy and a show off." Said Nagasaki-san. "How cruel and horrific, the killer must be a psychopath." Said Eiji. "No way to think that  we are stuck in a house with a psycho killer, I want to go home." Said Yuriko. "It's high time for Rosencreuz to show up, where is he?" Asked Akita-kun furious. "As I said earlier or maybe I did not mention it, we never actually met Rosencreuz the master of the mansion, we were offered this job with high payment by telegram and the money came along with the telegram so there was no turning back as we couldn't accept the money if we didn't work for it nor could we send it back since we didn't have any contact or address of Rosencreuz-sama and so we're here working as per instructions." Explained Tanaka-san. And just then....

"Hahahhahahaaaa... Now then I have informed you to be careful, have I not? Shall we begin? Can you solve this mystery? Can you stop others from dying one by one? This is your hell. Now then who will be the next victim? Good luck ladies and gentlemen! Hahahahah."

"Oi oi, this sucks! And this Rosencreuz is serious. What's with the name Rosencreuz anyway?" Said Akita-kun furious. "Rosencreuz... It's a German word that means Rose cross." Said Akira-san while adjusting his glasses.

" Why isn't he showing up? What's with the voice we hear? He's the murderer indeed." Said Akihito-kun. "Ano sa, actually the first time you heard the voice was from this device, I was instructed to play it when the first mystery has been solved but I do not know anything about the second recording." Said Tanaka-san.

"I see, Tanaka-san you must have visited the house beforehand I presume, could there be a broadcasting room somewhere?" Asked Hyungwon. "Indeed there is, I'll show you the way." Answered Tanaka-san. "Tch that Rosencreuz must be in there!" Said Nagasaki-san. But to their amazement there was no one in the broadcasting room and it looked like this room hasn't been used for a long time.

After that everyone was gathered in the living room. Yuriko and Fumiko prepared their breakfast in the second kitchen and served the guests, and the butlers and of course they helped themselves to some food as well.

"This is troublesome, I'm scared I want to go home, Yuriko, let's go back home together." Said Fumiko. "No way, all of us are suspects here, there's no doubt that Rosencreuz is among us and is either acting as a guest or a butler or a maid." Said Akira-san and Hyungwon in unison. "Ah, no way I'm staying with a murderer, I'm getting out of here!" Said Nagasaki-san while rushing outside. Hyungwon and Akira-san tried to stop her when they found the horror. The butlers' cars have been smashed, the bridge has been burnt, there was no safe way down this mountain. So they went back in and informed everyone of the situation.

It suddenly started raining heavily and the winds were strong. "Ah man just like it was predicted in the weather forecast this morning. The weather would be bad today and tomorrow. Let's call the police before the situation gets out of hand." Suggested Akihito-kun. "Yeah only an inspector or detective, a superintendent and an amateur detective won't be enough." Said Nagasaki-san. "Very well" said Eiji-kun who rushed to the  corridor where the phone was, and not a second later he cried of exasperation "oh no!" And came back rushing in the living room. "The phone wires have been cut." He said. "Oh my god, no, our mobiles,

Where are they, Tanaka-san and Mizobata-san confiscated all our phones so as to not have anyone cheating before the introductions were maid. Tanaka-san, where are our mobile phones?" Asked Nagasaki-san. "Yes I put them in this drawer here...oh my..." Exclaimed Tanaka-san; the mobile phones were gone, like poof they disappeared, they were not in the drawer. "What the hell?" Cried Nagasaki-san furiously. "Look out of the window everyone!" Called Hinamori-san. The mobiles were found crushed under the big pine tree. "Looks like the culprit wanted to completely isolate us." Said Akira-san with a rather calm demeanor. "Aaaaaaaaahhhhh" yelled Nagasaki-san, her face showing how terrified she was as if she realised something then rushed off to her room but Akira-san grabbed her arm. "Let me go, I'll be killed next, let me go!" Yelled Nagasaki-san. "Calm down Nagasaki-san! Since the murderer is amongst us we need to stay together all the time, we even need to sleep here in this living room together." Said Hyungwon. "No I'll be killed, I'll be killed!" She kept yelling.

"Nagasaki-san! In the name of Japanese police I and Hinamori-san will protect you!" Said Akira-san which then calmed her down. A few hours passed and everyone remained seated in the living room.

"Yo Emrald-chan! If you're scared to take a bath maybe we can take one together." Said Akita-kun while putting his arm round Emrald's shoulder, "don't listen to this pervert Emrald-san, if you're scared let's sleep in the same room." Said Akihito-kun while blinking an eye and grabbing her waist trying to pull her to him when Hyungwon interfered and pulled Emrald to him and said "She is not your toy you damned perverts. I will protect her." 

Akita and Akihito got fed up for a while and thought that this Hyungwon was way too handsome and they could not compete with him. "Oi, baka! Who said you could hug me without my permission? " Whispered Emrald in Hyungwon's ears. "It's okay I don't need your permission to protect you from perverts unless you prefer those pervs to me then I can let them annoy you if that's what you wish?!" Hyungwon whispered back. Their whispers were loud enough for everyone to hear as it was not really a whisper; just them talking in a low voice. "No, thank you Won-won, I don't like those pervs. Thanks for saving me." Answered Emrald in a low voice. "It's alright my little squirrel." Responded Hyungwon in a low voice close to Emrald's ear which made it sound like a sweet melody that itched her ear and made her face flush bright red.

"Enough of flirting in this situation. Ah youth, a beautiful youth, and here I everyday get yelled at by my wife." Said Hinamori-san in a poetic tone. And quickly Hyungwon loosened his grip on Emrald and they both took some distance, both blushing.  Emrald took a peek at Hyungwon's face and blushed even more, his red face showed a novel and more adorable side of him.

"Ahem. Where did Nagasaki-san go? When you were flirting she disappeared." Said Akira-san. "What? This is bad, let's look for her!"  Everyone ran around the mansion to look for her but she was nowhere to be found. 'Where did she go?' thought Hyungwon.

"Kyaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh" that was Yuriko and Fumiko's scream. It came from the backyard. Everyone rushed there to where they were. Both Yuriko and Fumiko were on their knees staring at a window with their eyes opened so wide that it looked like they could fall off any moment. Hyungwon, Hinamori-san and Akira-san looked inside the house from that window, "don't look Emrald!" Cried Hyungwon in shock, with a ghastly look on his face.

Nagasaki-san's corpse was inside with a stake hammered in her heart. The room was spherical in shape and a field of blue roses was blocking the door, the windows were locked from inside, making this the perfect locked room murder. The eyes of Nagasaki-san's corpse were wide open, her mouth as well. Her face expression showed quite a tremendous amount of terror.

Akira-san broke the window in order to enter the locked room. The two policemen and Hyungwon analysed the scene and body. Then gathered everyone in the living room. It was already six in the afternoon, and Nagasaki-san had been missing since noon. "Judging by the rigor mortis Nagasaki-san has been dead about 4 hours ago which means at two in the afternoon. At that time everyone took a break from looking for her to have lunch, so everyone here seems to have an alibi." Said Akira-san. 'No, she must've been dead before that, what was the weird sensation I got when I entered the crime scene earlier?' thought Hyungwon.  "This must've been suicide, she was so scared of being killed that she killed herself." Explained Hinamori-san who was sure of himself this time. "No this was murder no matter how you look at it." Said Akira-san. "But there's no way to enter or leave the room, the blue roses were blocking the door, the windows were locked from inside, only suicide is the logical answer." Said Hinamori-san slightly irritated.

"Exactly, why would someone who wants to commit suicide go through the trouble of blocking the door and decorating her own corpse with roses? Why would a suicidal person go through the trouble of creating a locked room murder scene? This was definitely murder and to create this scene there must've been a clever trick implied. Furthermore when we entered the room it was really cold inside, the AC was on so she must've died earlier or later than two in the afternoon." Said Hyungwon. 

"It makes sense but why was the AC on?" Asked Hinamori-san. "And quit calling me Hinamori-san, I am a detective, an inspector so I am Hinamori-keibu!"

"I get it Hinamori-keibu. The answer is simple the AC was on to alter the approximate time of death, rigor Mortis occur more rapidly that way, this was the alibi trick the culprit implied. Of course the AC was turned off few minutes before Yuriko-san and Fumiko-san found the body since it was still a cold temperature when we broke into the room. Which means she was either killed before 14:00 or after. Since noon we were separated in order to search for her, we gathered back here at one thirty, got separated again at around three forty five." Said Hyungwon.

"Therefore we will check each and everyone's alibi from noon to one thirty and from three forty five to five thirty which is the time Yuriko-san and Fumiko-san found the body." Explained Akira-san.

"Wait, I have been holding it in since the shock but I really need to use the bathroom." Said Fumiko,  "me too" said Akihito-kun and Giselle.  They were allowed to go. After a short while there was a sudden power cut. "Kyaaaaaaa" screamed Fumiko and Giselle when they got out of the bathroom. Akihito-kun who just got out of the men's bathroom rushed to them and comforted them. There was a struck of thunder and lightning. Despite the rain and wind, the weather was still slightly hot.

"Akihito-kun, please come with me to the kitchen, there are some candles we can use. Yuriko and I will prepare the tea." Said Fumiko. And thus, the living room and second kitchen were lit with candles, however, it was still rather dim.

Everyone gathered around the table to drink their tea.

"Now then we will begin questioning..." Akira-san's speech was cut by a painful sound coming from Tanaka-san, he suddenly stood up, dropping his cup of tea which crashed the floor, spilling the remaining tea, and fell to the floor with a big thudding sound. Just as Hyungwon and the two police officers were about to go see if he was alright, the window behind them suddenly got opened on its own and the wind that came in blew out all the candles, making the room fall in pitch darkness again.

A few weird sounds could be heard, Akira-san felt his way through and closed the window, Yuriko lit the candles again. "Tanaka-san, what's wrong, oi Tanaka-san, Tanaka-san?" Eiji was agitating Tanaka-san who had fallen on the floor. "Move, let me check him out." Requested Akira-san. He then shook his head in disbelief and said "it's no good, he's dead." No one wanted to believe this, the Midorikawa twins and Eiji started to cry. "Who would be this cruel?" Asked Emrald, tears glistening in her eyes.
