Chapter 30. The bloody battle.

POV of the author.

The next morning Pragya went to Jili, Yan state. She was told she would get a job and live a good life. Thanking the three, he went to Yan State. Qi misses Pragya a lot. Zhejiang also regrets making her suffer like this.

"Thank you so much Jing Ke," said Pragya.

"Thank you for everything. I will always remember you for your good deeds today. We may not meet again. I'm sorry for the loss I brought you," she hugged him.

"Don't worry Pragya. I too will never forget the favor you did without thinking twice about your life. You couldn't help me. I owe you, madam. You will remain a great warrior in my heart," said Jing Ke.

"That, a warrior does not shoot and kills people, but one who is willing to give his life for others. You did what you did for the welfare of the people. And Zheng saw it differently. You are both right. I hope to repay your favor one day," she said. Then she went to Qi er.

"Qi er, I am sorry that I used your father for my benefit. I hope you will forgive me. I didn't want you to be a part of it. I'm so sorry," she hugged her. "Take care of the little one," she added, touching Qi er's stomach.

"You too," Qi er replied. They hugged like two sisters who had never been separated.

"I am sorry, sister Pragya," said Zhejiang. "I'm sorry for what I did to you that day. I didn't know you were helping my brother Jing Ke," he said.

"Don't mention that, Zhejiang. Your anger was justified. I am also the cause of your father's death. I'm sorry for your loss, Zhejiang." Even though she knew it was Samrat, she didn't dare remind him of his past and worry me. She gestured to call out and accept his new identity.

At noon, Jing Ke received a letter from the governor of Han State. The letter asks for their help in the fight against the Qin imperial soldiers.

"Jing Zheng's forces surround us. I know that you are the son and disciple of the great Wei warrior, Gunsun Xu. So I would like to ask you and your forces to join us and fight against the power of Jing Zheng." read the letter.

They organized their bandits, but the bandits refused to join them in the war. So the two brothers, Zhejiang and Ke, decided to leave. Qi er also prepared to leave with them, but Jing Ke stopped her.

"Are you crazy? In this situation, you cannot fight against the king. You must stay here," he said. Zhejiang agreed.

"Sister-on-law, brother is right. You can't fight like this. We won't recover if something happens to you or the baby in your womb," Zhejiang said.

But Qi er decided to go to war with them. She was not easily convinced.

"That, Zhejiang, two months ago I was still pregnant when I led the war and fought with Pragya's power. Trust me, it's not that hard. Trust me, nothing will happen to me or my child. That, our child will be a brave warrior like you, Ke," she smiled.

They couldn't agree more. They joined the Han army and fought against the Qin imperial soldiers. It was a bloody war that claimed the lives of many soldiers on both sides. Children's cries and women's tears made the place the scariest place in the world. Soldiers fell all over the field. Drowning and moaning were heard. The king in his black clothes and sitting in black looks like the devil himself. He was merciless as he nudged the soldiers.

He suddenly saw Jing Ke on his white horse. He was wearing a white military outfit. To the women who cried incessantly and to the children who cried, he was indeed a saint sent by the Almighty. They saw each other. Jing Ke remembered how Jing Zheng belittled his master, Xu. Revenge ran in his veins.

On the other hand, Zheng remembered Pragya's confession and how he was betrayed, and he could not bring himself to kill Jing Ke. And he thought that his only option was to kill his enemy. The two of them were like a god and the devil.

They ran towards each other aggressively. Jing Ke attacked. But Zheng easily blocked it. Qi er saw the two of them fighting. She feared that another tragedy would repeat itself. She approached them and continued to fight the imperial soldiers.

Jing Zheng counterattacked and aimed for his left chest. But Jing Ke was able to block the attack with a bronze sword.

"I won't spare you today, Jing Ke," the king said aggressively.

"You think I will let you live today? You killed our master; you were trained by him. I will not spare you today, Jing Zheng. Either I win or we both die today," said Jing Ke.

Zheng attacked him again, and this time it was strong that Jing Ke could not resist. He fell from his horse, losing his balance.

Zheng smiled. "Ke, don't get your hopes up. Even when we were kids, I was the one who won our fight. What makes you think you can beat me now?"

Saying this, Zheng aggressively ran towards the fallen Jing Ke with the sharp silver sword-bearing his name.

But something unexpected happened that shocked both parties to death. Shocked, Qi er was caught and the king's sharp silver sword hit her in the stomach, causing her to vomit blood.

"Qi er," Jing Ke shouted.

Screams of Imperial soldiers could be heard. The state of Qin conquered the state of Han. The king was frightened. Although he wanted to get rid of Jing Ke, he had no intention of killing Qi er. Not to mention Qi Er, didn't want to kill any woman to defeat the Han State.

"Qi er...Qi er, wake up. Could you come here for me? My dear, please wake up," he said.

"That..." she called in his low voice.

"Darling, we will visit Mr. Vin Zhang. You will be fine," he rushed to her best doctor. But she stopped him.

"That, I don't have much time, listen to me... Promise me that you will move on when I left," she said.

"What are you talking about, you fool? You can do it," he said.

"Promise me..." she said in a much lower voice. Jing Ke shouted.

"I will do whatever you say, my love. ," he said.

"I'm glad that... That... that you're safe. You will always be my hero. And... My... my... my love... Both of us... me... me and... Our... Our... Little warrior... Love... Love... You... I love you....."

"Please do talk too much my... Qi er..." he called her but she didn't answer. Her eyes are still looking at him. But her hand lost all strength and fell on his knee. Her bloody mouth is still open.

He understood that she was no longer with him. He closed her eyes and mouth. He cried a lot. He could not hold back his tears. "Qi errrrrr..." he shouted alone in the square. He could not be revived now. He didn't just lose his warrior wife. But also their four-month-old baby. Although it was only noon, the sun seems to be set on his life.
