Out With It

"Who have you been seeing?" Ariel was quiet for a minute, this was not how she wanted to tell Sally and not what she was expecting nor wanted.

Pregnant? How could she be pregnant? She made sure that she took her birth control. She'd been on it since her parents were alive. They'd insisted that she take it. She kept it up, and with the fact that she and Malachi had been together for a while now, she'd wanted to be sure she didn't get pregnant. She'd told him she was on birth control, he'd even started recently with how Natasha was. Oh god how was he going to take it? Ariel twisted her fingers together and glanced at Sally.

"Malachi." Whatever name Sally seemed to have been waiting for that was clearly not the one. She sat there for a minute and started to talk but stopped and then started again. Then closed her mouth.

"Seriously?" Sally said. "I thought that it was just a drunken thing so long ago."
