Dwindling Options
Adeline Hines sat in the backseat of the car driving down the road at a good speed. Though the road turned to gravel at parts, the car didn't really slow. The trees were towering over the road leaving deep shadows between them and over the pavement. The sun was going down and so it was getting darker and the trees were bare now, very thick tall trees.
She personally didn't want to be here driving to the middle of nowhere to hopefully get the favor and money that they needed to keep their status and control of what they owned. In her opinion they shouldn't be hurting or having a problem, but her husband sure as hell loved to spend. Or more gamble their money, what the hell did he need to gamble for? They were rich, or had been.
