"Young Master?"
My attention got pulled back into reality. My train of thought shattered in seconds.
"Yes?"
"The nurse said she's done with the girl."
"Hmm." I get up on my feet. That was quicker than I expected. Twenty nine minutes and fifty seconds.... I estimated it will be forty to forty three minutes.
Either the nurse is good, or the job is done in a haste. I chewed on my lip. We can't have that. I slid beside the nurse. Her eyes are darting on me and on her new masterpiece.
She's wary, scared. Scared of me. Even though I won't bite. And all I said earlier was a bluff. She believes me too easily. And that's where most naive people fail, they got scared of threats too quickly, giving a chance for bad guys to manipulate them.
One after another... I clicked my tongue in irritation. They're all fools. If they're so scared of getting caught red handed why do crimes in the first place?
