Ch 16: Back in town...or city?

[AN: Around 1400 words again. Is anyone else looking forward to reading the new korean novels that have been just released?]

I have finally returned 'home' after a long training trip and have learnt only one trick so far.This is a lie.

I finally returned to take revenge on the clan that abandoned me after learning that I had 'trash' talent. Now after mastering the demon god heaven piercing golden buddha dao lightning body strengthening technique, I, your father, will ascend to the heavens and make everyone cough blood for courting death, the wuxia kind of death though… not the marvel one. Once again this is a lie.

Let's try once again. I have finally returned after brainwashing the clans of the middle continent and took over their holy lands and all their treasures while also adding them to my sect, the Hydra to strengthen it. Now that's more like it, it sounds wuxia like but it gets the point across.

As you can guess by now, I am back in Japan after my little conquest in China. I consolidated all the clans and their resources and also left a few seeds or more accurately, hidden Hydra agents in the upper echelons of their government. I also established a few Hydra bases which will serve as base of operations for all Hydra members back there.

All in all, a successful endeavor.

First thing I decided to do as soon as I got back was contacting Giran. I have been away for a while now and I wanted to know what Giran had accomplished so far.

Soon after reaching the base, I head inside the building where I spot Giran waiting for me while smoking a cigar. As soon as he spots me, he turns towards me and greets, "Welcome back, my Lord. I am so very happy to have you back. I take it that you were successful in your endeavor."

Giving him a smile, I answer, "Why yes, it was successful and almost all things went according to plan. I met with the broker you asked me to meet and from him, I got into direct contact with the clans and from there, it sailed smoothly and I got 'em all under my thrall."

"That's wonderful my Lord. So does that mean that you got every clan under your control."Giran asked with excitement all over his face.

"Yep…..it is as I said 'I got 'em all'. The problem of elite manpower will be solved when they arrive and it is your job to integrate them into Hydra smoothly. Once you are done with that, I want you to set up a martial arts school, preferably somewhere near Naruhata."

"Alright my Lord, all the tasks you have assigned me will be completed in no time but I do have a question…."

"Go ahead" I interrupt.

"Well, I wanted to know why you want to start a dojo."he asks.

And so I tell him all about my encounter with the vigilante, Knuckleduster and all that I learnt from him.

Giran just listens quietly as I speak and then proceeds to speak himself after I am done, "It seems to me my Lord that we have truly lucked out this time. It is not easy to find a pro hero who can teach things much less a veteran one who actually got back up after meeting All for one. I actually knew Knuckleduster as he was one of my customers back when he was at his prime. I had to strike a deal with him to avoid getting arrested and had provided him with info about various criminal organizations."

"He still asks me for info but he is a paying customer now."

"Hmm….that's good. You handle him and also make sure not to push his buttons too much."I say as I don't want him to break free.

"Alright then, complete all the tasks and keep me updated."I say as I leave him and head back.

Now that 'that' is settled, I can finally relax a little. Hey, that rhymed.

[POV change]

"Akira-kun...…"A young girl can be seen running towards a young man as her eyes shone like stars. She reached the boy and then hugged him tightly as she smelled his scent after a long time.

This girl was Himiko Toga and the boy was none other than Akira, 'her Akira'. She was surprised when she heard from him that he was back and almost wanted to rush to him but then Akira said that he wanted to take her out on a date.

She couldn't believe it, Akira was asking her out. She was immediately excited and looked forward to it but she was also nervous because she didn't know much about dates. She didn't know what to wear and thus decided to wear what she's most comfortable in, a sailor uniform.

After dressing up, she looked at her reflection in the mirror and saw her own pale face and her two messy buns, her hand reached up to her hair and she untied her buns and let her hair down. She almost couldn't recognize herself when she saw this new look of hers. She made up her mind and decided to go with this look.

After finishing everything, she left for the place Akira had asked her to meet and as she walked, her mind wandered and thoughts like 'Will he like me' , ' Does he like me' and 'Do I look good' passed through her mind.

She wanted to know more about Akira like things he likes, enjoys and all other stuff and now this was an opportunity to do that.

Not long after, she reached the mall that Akira had asked her to come and she began looking for him, soon she found him outside a store and began approaching him. It seemed that he hadn't noticed her yet but then again she had a low presence to begin with and her new look made her look quite different.

Her heart started beating faster and throbbed as she neared him when as though sensing someone looking at him, he turned around and his eyes met her.

At first, he dismissed her but then his eyes widened as he seemed to have recognized her.

"Toga….." he started but her body couldn't wait for him to finish as it moved on its own and before she even noticed it, her arms were around his neck while his were on her waist.

"Akira-kun~.."she breathed out as she took in his scent after being away for so long. Her mind went all fuzzy when his fingers brushed through her hair.

He looked at her and said with a dazzling smile, "Wow Toga, I almost didn't recognize you with your hair down. You look completely different but in a good way, in fact you look beautiful this way. Of course,you still look cute the other way but I must ask, what brought this on?"

Toga's ever red cheeks started blushing even more when she heard the word 'beautiful' directed at her and with a shy look she says, "Um… I wanted to look good for this d-date and tried this out...Do I really look beautiful in your eyes?"

"You always look beautiful in my eyes Toga-chan"

She blushed even more and picking her courage up she says, "I..I think that you look really handsome and cool too Akira-kun…"

And she meant it as she took a closer look at his chiseled and handsome face. He was wearing a different attire than his usual suit and instead he was dressed in a casual shirt and blue jeans that showcased his fit body.

He noticed her staring at his body and with a smug look asked, "Like what you see,Toga-chan"

She just nods her head as he reaches his hand out to her.

"Well then...let's get started."

[Author- The cliff strikes again. You know what to do when you can't find a good way to end the chapter, just end it.Muhahahaha.....

Is it just me or is everyone hyped for God of Highschool the anime which is going to air soon. I used to read the webtoon long ago and it was good. Hopefully it turns out as good or even better than Tower of God.

Lemon, R-18 or ecchi or whatever the fuck its called coming out in a few chapters so fingers crossed and hope they turn out good.

Anway here are today's reccs:

1: I'm the Mc, Why do I suck at cultivation- Are you tired of reading of generic cultivation novels where Mc struggles and fights his way up finding that he is only a fish in a well every time he leaves his place or ones where everyone and their mother is out to get the Mc then this is the novel for you.

It features a mc who is basically reincarnated into the most handsome guy in the world and has plot armour so thick that whenever he speaks heaven and earth praise him. It is set in a world with common enough cultivation bg and mc is revered as a heavenly genius when all he is just handsome. The title is a bit misleading as he doesn't suck at cultivation but is just slow,in fact he is op and can defeat foes above his rank but he doesn't know that.This novel has top notch comedy and other characters are fleshed out. Also no jealous young masters, in fact everybody likes him and respects him.

This novel almost seems like a parody and I love it. So give this a try and support it as it is still in the trials.

2: Re:Child Again by Xen_120598- An original novel that I came across recently and it is quite relaxing to read. Here's my review:

This book is great. I have read some books with similar plot but most of them either make the mc a pervert or some too mature I don't want friends and want only money kind so this one is quite refreshing to read as the mc seems quite reasonable, so far he has messed up a bit here and there but he seems approachable.

I love his interactions with his mother and his friends, they seem natural enough and flow nicely.

The strongest point of this novel for me is the sheer relatable-ness(a new word made my me) is astounding. I can reminiscence my own childhood when I read this. The mc doesn't seem like any archetype and seems relatable, I would befriend him if I meet him.

There are a few small nitpicks of mine though, sometimes the interactions feel a bit forced especially when things concerning his maturity comes into play and he does seem to show his 'intelligence' a bit to quickly but other than that this is a light hearted read which relieves stress and is a good example of its type.
