Chapter 9

Amelia's driver pulled up at Club MBM. Brittney came down from the front seat and went ahead to open the backseat for Amelia.

She stepped out of the car. She was wearing a big black long sleeved shirt on a bum short underneath it with lace ankle pocket boots. She also changed her mask to navy blue with gold outlines on it.

Brittney looked at Amelia one more time "Miss Amelia, don't you feel like you're taking this a little bit too much. I mean, it's just billiards" she said and Amelia's eyes squinted "Is it the shoes?" She looked down at her ankle boot.

"You are giving off femme fatale Miss Amelia. Don't you think so?" Brittney asked, but this question from Amelia shook her: "What's femme fatale?"

Brittney stood dumbstruck, but she slowly regained herself nodding her head "yeah, it's possible you don't know femme fatale. You are always buried in work. There is no way you would know, and that's totally normal" she nodded still trying to convince herself with that before smiling at Amelia "Please, this way"

Amelia followed her in still trying to comprehend the meaning of femme fatale.

They both got into the club and Amelia appreciated the beautiful view of the place, but the place was empty. Amelia turned to Brittney "Do they not have customers around here?" She asked and Milo's voice answered

"They do, but I booked the whole place" he answered her. Amelia rolled her eyes on instinct and turned to him "Why? Did you think I did not like people that much?" She asked him sarcastically and he smiled "I thought I lost you when I was hearing a somewhat sweet voice" he replied and turned his back signaling her to follow him. She rolled her eyes and did as he wanted with Brittney right behind her.

Fifteen balls were arranged in a triangle with a pink ball at it's apex. A blue ball was in the middle while a green, brown and yellow ball stayed at the other side of the board. The cue ball was directly behind the brown ball.

The rules of the game was explained to Milo and Amelia by a worker and then, it was time to play.

Amelia was the type of woman who could do anything as long as you told her how it's done. She was that good of a woman, but Snooker was Milo's to-go game everytime. He preferred snooker to golf all the time.

Amelia told Milo with her eyes that he should go first, but he shook his head and ushered her to go on "As they say, ladies first" he smiled.

Amelia rolled her eyes and went over to play the game. She took her cue stick and pointed it at the balls from a certain angle.

She was not a game person because she never had time to have fun. Milo was the one who always pulled her to do things like this, so she had never played this one before.

Her holding of the cue stick was somewhat correct, but she had a weird stance which made Milo chuckle.

She had both her legs together as she bent forward. It looked like she was asking for it.

He went over to her, bent down and moved her legs apart. Amelia was a bit startled which made her to respond in moving her leg.

"Your leg needs to be wider than your shoulder-width apart" he widened her legs "your front foot should be pointing towards the target ball Amelia" he did that for he as well "your back foot should be perpendicular to the shot line".

He touched her waist in order to completely fix her stance, but she was not having it "I think I got it Ivanov" she said to him and he let go of her.

He did not realize that he had touched her because he had gone into complete professional mode with her.

He backed up from her "I'm sorry. I didn't know I had gone there" He apologized to her and it made Amelia feel a little bad because he was just helping in a match where they were supposed to find a way to beat each other.

Brittney coughed awkwardly to show how the tension had become thick. Amelia turned back to the game and shot her cue ball at the other target balls in her flustered state, she was able to get a red ball into a hole earning her 1 point.

She went to another angle where the cue ball was and her target ball was the green ball to earn 3 points.

She followed the stance that was given to her by Milo and she shot at the ball, but the green one did not make it, instead the yellow one did earning her only 2 points.

Amelia prided herself in winning, so getting low points like that was beginning to get to her, but she continued.

Milo was behind her smiling. Even if she was getting such little things, he liked it. Other people won't even get a hole right at their first time but she... She was just different.

Her determination and mindset could take her anywhere.

Amelia got another shot at the black ball, but she missed after that. She turned to Milo and gave him the signal with her eyes to play.

Milo clapped laughing "three in a roll, with a black ball at that. Are you sure this is your first time?" He asked but Amelia as usual just rolled her eyes.

"Play Milo. I have things to do" she walked off to the side. Milo only smiled and went on to shoot.

Milo aimed at the pink ball while staring directly into Amelia's eyes. He shot and he took not only the pink ball, but the blue and the green ball as well.

Amelia's eyes widened when she saw that. She did the calculation and he was already with 14 points on his first game. He was already 4 points ahead of her.

Milo smirked at her and moved to get the red balls.

Amelia began to think of a way she could make him stop winning, not because of the deal but because she had had enough loosing for her ego.

She decided to do what he always did to make her loose some of the time. She was going to fluster him.
