You remind me of someone

The warm family dinner turned into a sad one. Amila's mother stayed in her room and her father left the house and she was only left with Lily and her mother who is now helping her to clean the table and wash the dishes.

"Do you want me to stay here tonight?" Lily asked worried about her friend.

"No, I will be fine." Amila replied smiling at her friend."You should go and spend some time with your mother, She misses you." She added and Lily nodded her head.

When Lily went back to their house, She felt relaxed and happy. Looking around her she smiled, There is nothing like home, She thought to herself.

After taking a bath, Lily went to speak with her mother but she found her already sleeping. Walking slowly towards her mother's bed, She kissed her forehead and pulled away looking at her. She must have been worried and couldn't sleep in the past few days.

"I'm sorry." Lily whispered to her sleeping mother.
