The coldness left Regan's eyes immediately when they fell on the girl lying on the floor.

He threw away the royal soldiers who were holding him effortlessly and ran to Evelyn's side.

"Evelyn…"

He called out as he gathered her in his arms and sat on the floor so that she could lie in his lap. But seeing that she was not opening her eyes, Regan's red eyes were filled with panic and he called out again

"Evelyn…"

His voice was so gentle as he called Evelyn's name that it shocked the royal soldiers. However, they soon realized that they had another important job on their hands.

Hence, they walked to Rafael's limp body and picked him up from the floor. They carried him out of the dungeons to his chambers where he could be treated by the physician.

Regan's attention was solely on Evelyn. When he saw her ripped dress, his lips trembled behind his mask.
