Chapter 1 : A New World

It was just a normal morning in England, Sussex to be exact. I woke up early then prepared for College. As a Zimbabwean, I was naturally a transfer student since there was no way that I could be able to afford the tuition in a country like Britain as a commoner . Be that as it may I was elated since it was the first day of school and it was my dream to be able to attend such a prestigious college.

I went to the subway then proceeded to go to school then suddenly everything went dark, a white glow enveloped the whole world then one by one everyone started disappearing then appearing in random places. A huge explosion soon followed whilst I already accepted my inevitable demise then soon after that all that remained was silence.

Suddenly I found myself in an unfamiliar room that was illuminated in a pale blue light but even a blind man could see that beyond those walls of blue light was a darkness that far surpasses anything I had ever seen before and I could feel the malice in the atmosphere getting stronger and more intense.

Only one thought popped up in my head then I kept asking myself, 'am I dead, have my sins suddenly caught up to me, is this the way I'm going to out, I've never even had sex'. Such thoughts were what was bothering me since I had never had a girlfriend and don't get me wrong it's not like I'm ugly because not to brag but I've been told that for a black man I'm quite handsome and the reason why I've never had a girlfriend is because I was always busy with my studies and never had time for relationships but boy was I regretting it now.

While I was lamenting my celibacy issues, there was a tremor in the dark realm then 'boom', an explosion of golden light occured then I found myself on solid ground again. As soon as I landed on the ground, I saw the world but it was different than normal since I seemed to have travelled from the 21st century back to the medieval era. There were houses made out of stones, a castle in the distance, no cars and everyone was wearing weird clothes except for me. I started thinking to myself, ' have I traveled back to the past' but in the next few seconds I was going to get my answer.
