Alex looked at the sandals that he had on his feet. His dad had gotten it for him. A leathery brown color, tied around his ankles and it had a bit of heel to it. Dad hadn't ever given him shoes that he made with his own hands. This was an achievement.

He guessed since he was older now he was given some sort of privileges. And with that came certain gifts.

"Do you like it?" his dad asked. He was sitting this time instead of kneeling. His hands warm on his thighs.

"Yes dad. I like it very much. Thank you".

His dad's hands slid to his ankles and he squeezed lightly.

"Right now" he smiled and removed his hands from his legs. "Remember. Just between us".
