9. Accidentally

I lay down on my bed as I finished doing my work for today. Anyway, it's already ten o'clock and I should have to sleep now because I remember that I must wake up early as it was my daily responsibility here.

Suddenly, I got to head up when I heard something cracking noise coming from the door. And there, I saw Ashley's presence when she enters this room. Afterward, she closed the door. I lay down myself again.

"Tired?" I noticed she sat beside me as my eyes followed her steps. She raised her right brow.

"Yup, but it's nothing. Besides, it was part of my work." I pressed my lips, then I turned away my head from her.

"Anyway, where have you been earlier? I was looking at you." I asked wondering.

Actually, after what happened a while ago, I feel embarrassed about that. But of course, that's not my intention. I just you know, sniffing some fresh air and I didn't expect that he'll come.

Speaking to that man--well, of course, I admit that he has a handsome face, or we can say that he's almost perfect, that's definitely what every woman wanted and looking for a man.

But I don't like his attitude. And that time when I look at him, I feel that he's beastly, grumpy, and I feel that he's always menstruated. I shrugged. Well, that defines his rude manner.

"Hey, are you listening?"

"O-ohh, I'm sorry. I'm just thinking about something.." I didn't notice that she was talking to me.

I got up and at the same time faced him so we could talk properly. "By the way, what are you talking about?" I saw she rolled her eyes and she crossed her arms. I just laughed a bit about what she did.

She looked at me intently. "Will you first tell me if who's that person in your mind right now?"

"Do I need to tell it to you?" I asked in jest.

"Yes, I must, because I feel that there's something that I must know. And if I'm not mistaken, there's someone who's you're thinking right now. Isn't it?" her eyes still are on me.

"U-uhh, nothing. I've just remembered my sister, Dwayne.." and I made a bit of a smile.

Yeah. I know if I'll open about how rude that Stephen, she will hate me because this girl likes that man. She will insist that Stephen is not like what I'm thinking.

"So, what's about your sister?" she asked curiously. She embraced her legs without averting her eyes on me.

I pursed my lips. "You now. I'm just worried to go her because she's alone there. I'm also worried if there's something that might happen to her.." I diverted my eyes on her when I look at the ceiling as I lay down my body on the bed.

She shrugged. "Don't worry, she'll be okay. Besides, you don't also have to worry because I know she's not a kid. She can decide and think about what she'll do or what."

"Yeah. You're right Ashley. I'm just, you know, not comfortable because this was our first time that we get apart from each other.." I said when I looked back on her again.

She tapped me on my shoulder. "You must train yourself from now on for your sake and to your sister. Just focus on your work so when that time comes, then you can see each other again. Okay?"

I was pretty relieved when Ashley said that to me. But actually, it's not what I'm thinking earlier, but that's okay. That's the thing that will also pop in my head, minding if how's also Dwayne now.

"Okay. Stop this ugly drama of you. We should take a rest now because we have a lot of work to do for tomorrow." Ashley stood up. I just watch her steps towards her bed. Until she seated there when she was got there.

"Good night.." I said in normal with a smile plastered on my lips while lying on my bed, and my hands are intertwined to each other as it is placed in my chest.

"Good night sweetheart!" she said in a shouting way. Then she made a flying kiss to me. I just laughed about what she did. Afterward, she lay down herself.

I tried to close my eyes when I turned my body to the left side. I put my hands beneath my pillow. After a few seconds, I found myself fall asleep.

I get outside the cr when I finished taking a bath. I wear my uniform, combing my hair, putting a powder and just a light lipstick on my lips. Then I looked at myself in the mirror. And I see that everything was okay.

"By the way, are you done?"

"Yes.." I replied to Ashley when she's now there at the door, waiting for me.

"Let's go!" I already noticed on her that she feels so excited to do her work. And I know what's the reason why she's like that.

I shook my head with a grin. She's just excited to see that rude guy, Stephen, and not about her job. Ugh!

We're both descending downstairs when suddenly I heard her spoke. "I'll just go first to the garden to watered the plant there..you know. Because I feel that they already missed me," she said with doing some entertainment which makes me chuckled.

"Okay." I just agreed with her because I don't know what words to say.

You know, is she just really go there in the garden or she will just wait for Steven to come inside?

Yes, Ashley said to me that Steven is always going there in the backyard in their shack to make himself sniffing the air and do some relaxation every morning. And I already got why Ashley wanting to be there. Gosh! I shook my head.

"Oh, anyway Cindy, I know you already know what you'll do. Well, good luck to us." as she said that, she abruptly walked away from me as we reach the floor.

I just go there immediately in the kitchen to prepare food for Mr. William and to his rude grandchild, Steven.

Ms. Carline and Olive told me yesterday if what are those things that I'll do as I've suggested to Mr. William to do some maid's works than being a parlor maid. It was my second day here and I do not have worried because all of the maids here and also Mr. Will treat me well.

"Oh, Cindy! You're here!" I walked hurriedly towards Ms. Carline when I saw her placing the food in a tray.

"I'll take this." I immediately carried the tray placed near the sink. "Thank you, Cindy."

I smiled at her then I made steps towards the dining area. I placed the soup, dish, rice, and juices carefully on top of the table where Mr. Will and Steven will have breakfast.

When I'm done doing it, I go back to the kitchen. I put the tray in the sink as I clean also that area.

"I'll just go there at the dining. If you're done just approach me so if you have something to ask for or what, okay?"

"Okay. Thank you, Ms. Carline." I said warmly.

"Welcome." she immediately left me here alone while doing this stuff. I cleaned also the worktop and some other areas.

"Cindy?"

"Oh, Ms. Carline? Do you need something?" I stopped for a moment about what I'm doing as I turned my body to her, looking at her while she's in a distance.

"Will you please bring water to Mr. William? Thank you."

"Okay. I'll take it quickly." I walked towards the refrigerator. I opened it and I took a pitcher inside then I closed it.

"O-oh, I-im sorry sir..it was not my intention. I'm so sor--"

"What the hell you've done!" I felt nervous while my nerves, hands, and my knees are shaking when I accidentally poured him water. And it was not my intention to do it to him. I've just didn't see his presence that he was there. Ugh! I'm so careless!

I saw that he's wearing a plain V-neck grey t-shirt that became wet, and also some other areas of his wearing black pants.

I saw on his face that he became angered about what I did. I just put my head down because I feel ashamed about what I did to him. Ugh! This was your second foul, Cindy. Expect that he will lay you off right now.

I noticed he snorted while his still standing in front of me. "You may go now before I change my mind to fire you." he said calmly.

I head up. "I-im sorry sir, it will never happen again.." I filled first the pitcher of water, then I lowered my head when I passed on him without looking at him.

I know that he's so angered about what I did and I was pretty relieved because I thought that he will fire me. Ugh! Why he didn't tell me that he was there? Didn't he saw me that I'm in that place? I deep sighed.

"You okay? Did he curse, shout or hurt you about his words to you?" I looked at Mr. William when I noticed that he was there, standing near the wall. Looks like he was worrying when he said that.

Why he's so kind to me?

I stopped walking for a while when I faced her. I tried to smile at her. "No sir, but I'll accept if it'll happen besides it's my fault."

"No, you don't. I saw what happened. And it's just unintentionally. Don't worry, I'll talk to him." when he said that, he tapped me on my shoulder then he walked away from me.

I take a deep breath for a second before I go to the dining area.
