Reviews of The Magical Blacksmith

I keep wishing for a good blacksmithing novel, unfortunately this is not it. Never thought it was possible, but it may actually be worse than Forging The Path To Godliness. It's just plain bad, ******* writing that seems like it was written by a child. Predictable and cliched. Seems like something you would expect to find in RoyalRoad, in fact there are definitely better stories there. Absolutely not worth translating at all, so I suppose it's only a matter of time before this gets picked as Editors Choice over much, much better novels like "I just won't play by the book" and "My Debauched Devotion". After seeing Forging the Path To Godliness get chosen over "I Can See The Lines Of Fortune, it's really obvious that the readers opinion and reviews don't matter at all, and the "editor" who chooses the novels is a brainless moron.

All 4 Novels this week are bad, but this one is the worse. As always you have an immature MC who is despised every chapter. If the world were really to work like that, there wouldn't be any blacksmith/shopkeeper/youngsters in this novel's world. And why do we have 4 books of 40 chapters while before we had 5 of 60?

Pre-industrial metallurgy requires mining, coal and blacksmiths. The author who puts the blacksmith without explaining the first two is lazy. Malignant sects may have slaves digging in mines, and cutting forests to make coal, but if all the material comes from slave labor the other sects are conniving and the government supports it. If members of the external court perform this service on a seasonal basis, there are periods of the year that no one obtains these resources. See? In five minutes the author could have a history of conflict between the good and bad sects all involving a blacksmith with a system, the difficult life of an outside sect member and slaves from the evil sect.

It's got face slapping if you're into that. The Mc seems is a idiot who doesn't understand nuance and what his place in the world is, he is a mortal vs cultivators and he antagonize them for a bet because obviously they don't believe a mortal can repair a immortal sword (basic flying sword). the bet is his life for breaking said sword and if he wins the humiliation of the cultivator, like what? he is basically homeless with only the workshop. so instead of money to pay off the debts his parents incurred after thier death he wants something vain for his ego. he was literally useless before the system, living like a rich young master with the income of his cultivator parents.

A subpar novel that introduces nothing new to the genre. Main character spends more time trading insults with other people than forging. For whatever reason enemies pop out left and right regardless of age. 2.5/5 stars.

THE ERA OF GODS IS 100x better than this. Novel is absolute garbage. They put all the good novels together and all the bad ones together. Why??!?!

Fantastically ORIGINAL! A refreshing blow(=read) ; amongst others it is damn difficult and hard to stand out... Least of all be original and unique WHEN in a "theme" or "genre" ,- that has been all but exhausted! But you (author) and this book stand out 99MM on originality of USEAGE of background materials and your universe "FILL stuff" so to say. NOT that it is fill meant in the normal way of cource. I originally began on my own novel in 1996... A mix of Gibson, Sterling and Dean Koontz ; in "Linda and Valentine" / "Valeria n and the city of 10.000 planets" setting. And I find yours to be both EQUALLY as more so versatile in its incorporation of all elements and fundamentals as characters and background as "flavour text" describitions of situations and environment and fellings as emotions :-)

Better be overgeared . Its a proper gaming novel instead i would say story could be better. You may like it for begginer

I can see that this is happening like a original cultivate novel where some thing bad or trade happens and they get something good like a system or a artifact that can change there life. First of all why can't the parents not died it almost happens on every single novel so the Main character can be independent.

enjoyed the story so far hope to get the rest of the story but who knows what will happen...all we can do is wait for the results but I'm hopeful

I have read up to chapter 25 so I can't say for the whole novel if it went better. The novel is completed with only 450 chapters. The novel just isn't that interesting enough for me to waste my time to read that much chapters. This is the main problem with this novel. It is tiresome to read which leads to to the audience tired to invest time in reading this novel. There is also the common problem with the dialogues. The medium of the novel is the writing. We can't see how they talk but can only imagine it with how the author writes. Having overreaction and unrealistic dialogues makes the characters in the novel dumber and makes you imagine that they have screw loose. It tried to be comedic but just failed. This won't gather enough readers to make it viable to translate especially with how much chapters it only have.
