Taking Over
Mirage was about to say something more when he was interrupted by a loud panicked scream of a soldier all of a sudden.
"Ah! The barrier! The barrier is dissipating!"
'What? What did he say?' he asked with a blank expression on his face.
Then, he hurriedly turned his head.
Indeed, he could see that the mist barrier that was protecting them was already dissipating bit by bit.
Mirage had a shocked expression as he couldn't believe what he was seeing.
He didn't expect things would go this way all of a sudden.
"How did this happen?" he asked the captain with a grim expression on his face.
The captain looked as bewildered as him as well.
He had no idea why the barrier protecting them just fine earlier was already on the verge of breaking down.
The captain thought. 'It was doing just fine earlier, so why did it suddenly started to dissipate right now?'
His confusion was visible on his face.
