The Mage's Cheat System
Psyx a 13 year old boy from a bustling merchant town, Eridu located in the Sedax empire, in the world Edarn. He claimed to have a cheat system, and a shadow mage on the hunt for it met up with Psyx and tried helping psyx with the cheat system as an undercover in his attempt to steal it from Psyx. The mage was shocked to find out that it was a farce created by psyx to gain attention and ended up killig him. Psyx died and he met with the god of reincarnation, Refid-sama. He was given a chance to reincarnate into the world of Elkia, which was also a magical world as his previous one, with a real cheat system, the best of them all. He was reincarnated into the body of a 17 year old boy, Gerd who was the fifth and last son of a powerful noble. Gerd was hated by his brothers for his inability to use magic and was stamped a disgrace to the family. Psyx now Gerd uses the cheat system to get stronger and fight evil and those who opposes him as he claims territories all over the world .
Chapter Ten
Gerd walked into the library and he was immediately awe struck. The library had the grandest demeanour he had ever seen. It had a collection of over one hundred thousand books, neatly arranged on the shelves which where made out of magical wood as it was emmiting some weird magical aura.
The library had study chambers, each the size of a king sized bedroom with shelves for storing books or scrolls all around the walls , sound proofed walls padded with magic to prevent sound from coming in and coincidentally, going it.
The best part of it all was that you could tell the librarian to customize the study chambers with books of your liking, it was the same as adding a book to your wishlist to read later.
"Wow, the rich really have it easy.... I mean this is just a library for crying out loud" Gerd whispered to himself.
Heading into the scrolls section, Gerd looked around the shelfs and saw a lot of basic beginner fire element scrolls, as the Damer family was very proficient in Fire magic.
He went to one of the scrolls and touched it "Huh....Why isn't a status window popping up and congratulating me for acquiring a new spell" Gerd was confused.
" In mangas, there was always a status window with your stats popping up and so on and so forth....so why is my case special or rather different." Gerd wondered aloud.
Gerd suddenly realized something "Oh no..... don't tell me that I was ripped off again by that god of reincarnation, Refid-sama." "No Refid-sama doesn't seem like the type that would stoop so low as to do such a thing..."
"But...I have this weird feeling,...this weird feeling that I can now cast a magical spell.....I can feel mana coursing through out my body, even if it's very little, I can still feel it." Gerd said clenching and opening his fists continuously.
"Let me try casting a spell 'Fire ball'......." Nothing happened
"Huh, have I actually been decieved?" Gerd regretted.
"No, it can't be,...I have to keep trying" He motivated himself.
'Fireball'.....
'Fireball'.....
'Fireball'....finally, a fireball appeared on his palm, the equivalent of a candle light.
" WTF!... why so small,.....This fireball wouldn't even be enough to burn a book, talk less of killing a dragon.." Gerd said.
" Well the fact that I can now cast spells is reassuring..... I am gonna stay here for the whole day and gain all the fire spells in this library."
"When I'm done, I will head to the training grounds and check them out..." Gerd said.
Creation is hard, cheer me up!.
