The Mafia King's Revenge

Mirena Miller entered a dark, noisy bar. It was a rainy Monday, and she has to find a new boyfriend tonight.

At the entrance, her friends accompanied her to their table. She was a little bit disappointed about being alone.

"Hey, what's with your face? Are you mad because you are the only single for the whole night?" asked Sandra.

"Stop asking! I will not be going home until I found the perfect toy for the next seven days!" Mirena replied with a sharp gaze. She doesn't want to lose either and that was for sure.

Sandra Marmande giggled and hit her forehead mischievously. "I know, right? It will be a bloody hell night for our dearest, famous heiress."

The sarcastic smile on her lips lasted until they reached their table. Andrew, Sandra's boyfriend, kissed her on the lips in front of everyone.

He whispered, "Ugh, I can't wait to make love with you."

"Shut up! We've been doing it thousands of times!" Sandra pinched his right ear and brought him to the next table.

Lily Samuels shrugged off her shoulders as she walked closer to Mirena and gave her a glass of champagne. It was a way of comforting her forlorn friend.

"How's the funeral?"

"Mind your own business, Lily! You're not helping me out either!"

Mirena rolled her eyes and threw her purse to the couch. She chugged the glass of champagne like a thirsty lass.

"Damn, I can't believe it! This is the longest time for being single!"

Mirena exaggerated. She can't live happily without a man she only treated like a toy. A thing that has no emotion at all.

Lily Samuels, Andrew Simmer, Sandra Marmande, the Tom, and Jerry twins, Six and Seven Tyreson screamed and booed her. All of them celebrated their friend's biggest and most humiliating problem.

"Don't worry, if you couldn't find anyone tonight…," Luke paused for a moment. "I can take you home, Mirena."

A deafening silence took over until Mirena burst into laughter. She bit the bottom of her lips and wrapped her arms around his neck.

Luke held his breath for a moment. He didn't see it coming. His entire body reacted the moment her soft, flawless arms touched his skin.

Inside of his head, he cursed hundreds of times, trying to calm all his nerves. No one knew the feeling he felt for her. Luke was afraid to lose the most special friend he treasured for how many years.

"You look so pale," spoke Mirena with a flirty smile on her lips. She was teasing Luke, waiting to provoke him.

"If I would say yes, do you think we can still be friends after a week?"

Luke didn't expect it from her. He knew how risky it was to dare the playgirl of the town. However, he decided to cut the chase before it was too late.

He chuckled, caressing his well-defined jawline. "And why would it affect our friendship if it's merely a game to you? How can you be so certain that I will trust me to a woman like you?"

Mirena was speechless by his words. No one dared to speak ill things about her since she became the heiress of her parent's wealth and reputation. Luke was the only brave man who insulted her to death.

"Fuck you!" she replied and pushed his chest forcibly.

Of course, it was surprising. But all the boys looked into each other's eyes and giggled as if they won against their enemy.

Andrew and the twins tapped Luke's shoulders. They admired his rare boldness that brought the heartbreaker to the depth of the ground.

"Damn, that was so intense!" said Seven with a sarcastic smile on his lips.

"I agree with Seven! Mirena is such a badass and I can't wait to see her falling in love with a ruthless man!"

While the rest of the boys murmured facts about the naughty heiress, Luke couldn't take off his eyes from her. He lied when he said that it was merely a game. Deep inside, he wanted to scream his true intentions toward her.

He sighed in disbelief and grabbed another glass of wine from the table.

"I'll go outside," he said coldly and slid his left hand into his pocket.

The boys followed him while the girls were left inside the bar. They felt defeated by the boys when their queen was slayed by the king.

Sandra pouted her lips and glanced at Mirena. She was thinking to comfort her, but she didn't know where to start.

"Look at her, Lily! She's driving me insane—"

"Shut your fucking mouth! We need to find someone for her, or we can't change her mood until next week. I know everyone knew Mirena well." said Lily who seemed mature amongst them.

Lily couldn't be more worried for her childhood best friend, Mirena. They lived together in the same neighborhood, and she knew her all too well.

Her behavior was quite annoying. No one would ever understand her and that's the reason why she chose to stay beside the heiress.

Since elementary, no one dared to be friends with the famous Mirena Miller. Not because of her parents' worldwide reputation, but because of her nasty behavior. She pushed everyone away from her until college.

It was hard for Lily to be her friend as she has to bear and endure the pain from other students who spoke ill about Mirena.

Every time she reminisced, it could only bring her bad luck and sadness. She once sacrificed her life before. It wouldn't be surprising if she will do it again.

"Damn it! Luke never fails to annoy me!" spoke Mirena out of the blue.

Her expressions brought Lily and Sandra back to their senses. They quickly sat down on the couch and looked into her frightening eyes.

"You shouldn't have said those words. All of us knew that he's the coldest man we've ever known." Lily replied with heavy breaths.

Sandra shook her head in agreement. She met Luke when they were in high school, and his charm was quite unquestionable. All girls dreamed to be his girlfriend, yet no one succeeded. He remained single and powerful until this very moment.

The loud music suddenly stopped which caught everyone's attention. The people were shocked and waited for the reason why.

"What's going on?" Sandra murmured as she looked at the entrance.

"I think there's someone special who just arrived. You know, the mafias, the CEOs, and even high-profile criminals got the promising treatment here."

Mirena smirked when she heard it from Lily. She had a naughty idea. As finally, she found the perfect toy before dawn.
