*flash back* 3 years ago

I just got finished from cleaning up and taking care of Iola I fed her and put her down for her mid day nap. I was tired so I decided to lay down on my mattress and thought about my mom. I missed her, and it's hard without her. Her pasting away a month ago was the hardest thing. Especially, for me and Iola.

I was just getting off of school to hear that my mom died, Iola was with my friend ophelia so I had a break down alone, Percy was no way near to be found so I could of cry and sob as loud as I want. Your probably wonder why am I still in school well after having Iola I still stayed in school, I stay in school to get away from Percy. I drop her every morning to ophelia since she's the only that can take of her while I'm at school. Some days I just stay home from school to take care of her

I didn't trust Percy with my daughter alone I didn't want him to do the things he do to me so ophelia is the only one I trust, she is older than me and doesn't go to school. And since Issac, Iola's jackass of a father stop seeing her after my mother died I had no one else but ophelia. So I had to work and make money for me and Iola. I would pay ophelia even though she didnt want me too. So, I started working at this convenience store but that's wasn't paying enough money so I quit

I heard about this fight club named Phoenix . And they were paying good money. Made 200k every fight. I was good at my fights. I was called "Dark Rose" Either cause I would end up winning all my fights or kill them in the fights. I gotten good. I was rusty with my first fight. So I would train everyday

I gotten good but it gave me less time to take care of Iola so she would stay to ophelia for the nights. Mostly her stuff is at ophelia and because Percy wouldn't let me buy anything nice, or would ruin her stuff I would go buy. I have some diapers, few clothes, and powder milk to feed Iola when I do have the days off and because he actually let me keep it

I got distracted from my thoughts from a loud bang coming from downstairs. Iola started to cry I sat up from my mattress and pick up her to where she was laying, I quickly try to shush her up but she wouldn't calm down. I hear loud footsteps coming closer and closer, that's when the door bust open seeing Percy looking at me then Iola, he comes closer to us, yelling 'shut the fuck up' that made her cry even harder 'Don't yell at her that's not helping' that made him furious he grabs me by the hair 'You have some guts to talk to me like that bitch', he slaps me across the face making Iola slip out my hands making her even harder cry. I held my hand to face looking at Percy. He was walking his way to Iola. I panicked. He picks up Iola and walks out with her making it downstairs.

I ran and caught up to him grabbing his arm but that made him push me back on the floor. It caught his attention he puts Iola down on this old brown couch, turns around and starts walking up to me, I start crawling backwards as he kept walking up towards me. I was looking all over to find something to hit him with then I eyed something in the corner. I see a hammer where I was backing up to he never noticed it yet. I hurried up to the corner and look behind me grabbing the hammer as John was coming up to me fast. I hit hard as I could getting up grabbing Iola and running back upstairs

I put Iola shoes and jacket on along with my shoes and jacket I put her down grabbing her bag with all her things I already pack when I was cleaning up I go to the corner of the room where I stash my money and stuff Percy wouldn't let me have. I stuff enough money in her bag, I pick up Iola and her bag and make my way downstair still seeing down Percy unconscious. I hurry up and ran out the door making my way to ophelia house

"your going to be safe" I whisper to her.

I knock hard on her door 'Ophelia are you there' I yelled and kept knocking, until she opened the door

'Dala are you okay' she ask. I cried out

'No he almost took her, I almost lost her Fela' I kept crying out

'think it's time for my plan Fela, but instead I need you to go with her. I have enough money for both of you, you can buy a new apartment for just the two and the stuff you need'.

'Wait why aren't you going to go' she asked I look at her

'Because I want Iola to be safe, he'll find me he always find me. I tried running away from him but he ends up finding me and my beatings getting worst and I don't want him to take away my principessa. Please Fela I'll be turning 18 in 2 years I know it's far but it's the best for her, once I turn 18 I'll be coming to you guys soon. Just please take her for me'

'Ok Dala I'll do it for you. Promise me you'll protect yourself'.

'Thank so much Fela and yes I promise' I hug her tightly

'Ok Dala don't break me' she laughed

'Oh yeah right I'm sorry' I laughed with her

'Lia your the strongest girl I know. I don't know how anyone can hurt a loving soul like you'.

'Me neither, but I'll be fine okay but it's time for you guys to go. Percy has to be up by now so he'll be coming look for us right now'

Ophelia went to her room to get her things. I went to Iola that was sleeping on the couch I pick her up slowly to make sure she don't wake up. I spoke out softly

'Hey mi amore momma loves you and will misses you so much baby. Your going to be with auntie Fela so no one will ever hurt you. I'll talk to your auntie everyday, to see how y'all are doing, I will never stop keeping in touch with her, mommy will be there soon Lolo Bear to see you and auntie Fela. Lolo mommy will always be with you' I cried with my head against hers and her tiny hand wraps against my index finger. Ophelia came downstairs with two suitcases. I put Iola in a car seat that was already in Ophelia car.

'Are you sure you can't come with us you Dala". she asked

"I'll be fine okay I promise. I'll see you guys Fela take good care of her' I said giving her a hug.

'Take care of yourself Lia. I'll call you when we get there' Ophelia gets in the car I take one last look at Iola and see them driving away until I can't see them anymore

'See you principessa' I cried out
