Chapter Sixty-six

Jay was vexed actually and he had done his best not to show it to Bella. Instead he tried to find humor from her, Stella's treachery had been discovered, Alfredo sent him pictures of she and Pablo together, leaving some sort of hotel. Jay could not believe his eyes, the woman had not changed and she obviously was there to do him harm. He was feeling guilty, how could he have compared such a snake to his darling Bella, he was unbelievable and even him could not believe himself, he was more than disappointed in himself. He would have sought Stella but then Alfredo had asked him to come to the office, they had a lot of talking to do and he got some planning to do, knowing Alfredo, he also had some confession to make. He drove with fury straight to the office, they were going to pay. 

"About time you showed up Jay ",Alfredo said as soon as Jay came inside, he was already waiting for him close to his office. They went to the inner room in the office and he was briefed on the little findings, someone had even assisted them in the airport security with security footage showing Pablo picking up Stella the day she came in, she checked into her hotel room which had been paid for with some unknown account, they tried to be discreet but then, they were not discreet enough. Jay was disappointed with himself, "I know that look Jay ", Alfredo said suddenly, "What look?", Jay asked looked like a beaten kid, "The look you have when you get into trouble ", Alfredo said and asked "What did you do Jay? ". If there was anyone Jay could swear knew him too well, Alfredo would be at the top of the list, their unusual friendship dated back to a long time when Alfredo's dad worked for his family, he took him under his wing when he started building his empire. Jay could not think about any other possible means to get out of the torturous gaze of his friend, "I slept with her ",he said looking shameful and Alfredo freaked out, "Hey, I did it with a condom so nothing to fear ", Jay said to calm him down. "What were you thinking? Was the tiny woman not enough? Of all women Jay, Stella? Seriously ", Alfredo was practically yelling and Jay needed to remind him who's boss so he yelled him down, "Alfredo!!! Remember who sits on the seat ",and he saw him calm down. Jay was not one to intimidate people with his power but these was one of the few times he had to, "I'm sorry but then, we need to be careful Jay. We both know that there's no good coming off those two ". Alfredo was looking worried and it was evident, the sincerity of his worries he really cared about Jay and Jay himself knew it. But now, he needed the hard and brutal Alfredo who could pull off dangerous assignments not this whimpering woman he was seeing. "We need to wrap our heads on what those two are cooking up ",Jay said. They tried plenty theories, and then agreed that Jay kept playing the fool to Stella. It was high time they raised their game but all the more, silently. This time they were going to bring down not just the duo but their empire. Jay made a resolution to destroy Stella that day for trying her cheap games on him again, to think that he ever loved her filled him with enough disgust to hurt himself. He had not been fair in judging Bella.
