Chapter One hundred and thirty-nine

Alfredo had discovered the rather huge amount of money deposited into Jake's account all in the name of a salary. He could not understand why he would do such for a person he could barely recognise or so he claimed. He would have gone and contacted Jake to know why but he did not want to risk his being trusted at the moment. The next thing that had brought about his suspicions was that he had wanted to know exactly why they had taken that long that morning to get to the office. He had to confront a particular person from the bodyguards and when he told him that Jay had been trying to get a phone. He could not understand. How that could be taking that much time. Something was really off and confusing. In as much as Jay still seemed not to have his memories, he needed to be on a safe side. 

Yes, it happened to be Alfredo all along. Diego's secret lover. They had been together even before Jay knew either of them. They had gone through the stages of mockery and torture together. Simply because they loved each other. Alfredo had actually been the one in that school alone and he had been suffering serious self identify conflicts with himself 

The whole school called him a faggot and treated him so less of a human. It was sometime later that Diego had joined their school and became his knight in shining armor. He stood up for him at the expense of his reputation and parents desire. They had been together and so in love with each other. This was the reason he had been doing Diego's bidding. 

It was not easy for him to go against Jay as he had gone to further his studies much later. He was being sponsored by Diego of course and was only friends with Jay. He felt secured around him and even people suspected that they had some underdealings with each other. Jay accepted him into his umbrella of protection and promised him a well paying job as soon as they finished their p fu program. They finished school in flying colors and returned home. It was around this time that Diego told him his sad story. Alfredo was really angry that someone would do that to his lover, so he agreed without hesitation making a promise to see through it to the end. It was not until he saw Jay's picture that he realized that he had just made a mistake. A promise was a promise and he  could not back out on it. He went after Jay as though he was looking for the job of a security. Jay had been looking for him for a long time or so he claimed. He was more than happy to see Alfredo and made him the chief of his security. Alfredo had been with him for sometime and was finding it very hard to betray him. He tried to do his best to delay the inevitable. He would keep making excuses to Diego that he was trying his best to win Jay's trust. He could not bring himself to hurt his old friend. 

He had met Stella, and he hated her. She was bad news and all he wanted was for her to get out of Jay's life. Jay was surrounded by enemies and he pitied the unsuspecting guy. He had even taken it upon himself to get rid of her the first time, finding evidences against her. He had successfully gotten rid of her and continued giving Diego wrong information. He claimed that Jay did not trust him enough yet and this was why he would keep giving him off the line news. 

It was not until Bella showed up that he betrayed Jay. The girl was not a bad person but he discovered something. He had fallen in love with Jay and was jealous of Bella.
