Chapter 48

Kate stormed through the palace gates, her heart racing with anticipation. On her return she hoped everything would be just the way she left it, she expected to see king Casmien all lonely awaiting her return. When she entered the palace what she saw shocked her.

As she entered the grand hall, she spotted Rachel lounging on a velvet couch, sipping a glass of wine.

"You," Kate spat, her voice echoing off the marble floors. "Who the hell are you and what on earth do You think you are doing here? Who gave you the audacity to sit here as though it was your father's house."

She knew her questions were stupid it was not their first meeting but She refused to accept her existence.

Rachel raised an eyebrow, unfazed.

 "What do you think?"

Rachel knew exactly who she was and was sure Kate knew of her existence and perhaps she was claiming not to know just to put her down.
