Chapter 11 The attraction
Vincent shifted to his human form and headed for the lake after collecting the clothes. Without worrying if anyone was watching his naked glory, he proceeded towards the pier at the shore of the lake. Keeping the clothes on the wooden jetty, he jumped into the water and swam faster.
He tried not to think of Natalia, but she kept popping into his head. Her hateful look, her troubled appearance, her tears... why was everything bothering him so much?
After Susan, nobody could attract him. Natalia was the first person to get his attention. Apart from Susan, he had never thought of anyone in the last five years as much as he thought of Natalia in just a few hours this morning.
He tried to get distracted, but his mind drifted toward her unintentionally. It was as if she was a magnet, pulling him towards her.
What was it about her that he couldn’t stop thinking of her?
He dove deep into the water and swam faster and faster.
Oblivious to all this, Olivia was fantasizing about Vincent with her eyes on the ceiling… lying on the bed, toying her gold chain. His bare muscular chest and six-pack tummy were still evocative in her mind. And those black eyes… so captivating. She couldn’t conceal her smile.
Looking at his thick, rock-hard biceps, she could imagine how strong his arms would be.
How would it feel if he took her in his arms?
Certainly, it would be warm. It would give a sense of protection, wouldn't it?
“Huh…” She let out a deep sigh, hugging herself.
“Do you have any idea that someone is falling for you badly, Mr. handsome?” Olivia mumbled, her eyes sparkling in anticipation.
Her tender cheeks tinged with red. She began to imagine how she would dance with him at the party… his hands on her waist while hers on his robust chest… eyes locked with each other.
How romantic it would be.
Away from the prying eyes of her father and sister… she could even kiss him.
Kissing him…
Olivia blushed even harder, smiling bashfully. She touched her lips, anticipating how his lips would feel against hers.
She giggled, covering her face with her hands.
Olivia was giddy with anticipation and couldn't wait any longer. She wished for the sun to set quickly so she could get to the party on time.

Natalia calmed herself after some time. She wiped her tears off her face. That man was always like that. The only thing he knew was to threaten her. Thinking about his words was a waste of time. Natalia wouldn't sit around crying because of him. The best way to distract her mind was to have fun with Jonathan.
Pulling a smile over her lips, she went to Jonathan's room, which was next to hers. Her eyebrows creased slightly when she didn’t notice him there.
“Jonathan…” she called him and marched to the balcony.
Her expression turned somber as she spotted his binoculars on the floor. She picked it up and looked around.
“Jonathan…” she came in and headed to the bathroom.
“Mummy…”
Meanwhile, she heard his voice from behind. She turned around and saw him standing beside the bed.
“Where have you been?” She frowned even harder as she approached him. “You were not here when I came in.”
Amazement spread across her face.
“Why did you drop the binoculars on the balcony?” she asked once more.
Jonathan’s face turned pale remembering the huge beast. He gulped down his saliva, moving his eyes towards the balcony.
Natalia squinted at him. The fear in his face made her anxious.
“What is it?” Her eyes directed to the balcony.
“There was a beast in the woods… a huge black beast.” Jonathan pointed towards the woods.
Natalia let out a sigh. Keeping the binoculars on the bed, she took his hands in hers and said, “You must have seen a bear. There's nothing to be afraid of. It won’t come here.”
She squatted in front of him with a smile on her face, “The forest is its home. This is where it plays and hunts food… just like you play here.”
“But it was looking at me.” His hair sprang on his back as he remembered those hazel brown eyes.
"When you see it next time, say hello to it, alright?”
It was only then that Jonathan grinned. The fear in his mind waned as well.
“Okay, mummy.”
“Go, get ready. We are going to the amusement park.” She leaped to her feet.
“Really…” Jonathan exclaimed excitedly, his eyes sparkling with joy.
“Yes…” She laughed, ruffling his hair.
“I will be right back.” He rushed to the restroom, smiling from ear to ear.
Natalia went up to the closet and took out his clothes. There was no more anger or sorrow in her mind. Excitement was beaming within her.
Not only Jonathan, but she also enjoyed being at the theme park. She laughed with all her heart, forgetting the anxieties and strains every time she went there. And that’s why she was tempted to go there whenever she got time.
She helped him change his dress when he came out of the toilet and went out shortly thereafter.
Vincent exited the pool after finishing his swimming session. He wore his clothes and marched to the mansion. At that time, he saw Natalia and Jonathan getting into the car. The car took off soon.
Without thinking about anything, he rushed into the woods, taking off his clothes once again. He shifted, took his clothes in his mouth, and followed the car through the forest.
The car was heading towards the town speedily. He stopped running where the forest ended, staring at the back of the car. Vincent shifted back to his human form and hurried to the road after putting on the clothes.
Meanwhile, he saw a tanker truck pass by. He jumped onto it, grasping the iron bar of the back stairs. His sharp eyes were on Natalia's Mercedes.
They entered the town in no time. However, the tanker ran in another direction, leaving Vincent with no options but to jump down. He kept watching the Mercedes run quickly away from him.
