Chapter 3

I managed to get myself up off the ground and find my way to the storage area where my belongings were stored. It was impossible for me to resist looking down each and every hallway.

There is a little, small part of me that yearns to look at the twins once again and let my imagination travel all over them once more. After having a serious conversation with myself about how essential it is to remain unnoticed and to blend in with the surroundings, I resolved to avoid them at all costs and made it a priority to do so.

It was a comfort that I did not have to deal with either of those two categories of children while I was in first grade. When I got there, the teacher pointed me in the direction of a seat in the back, and when I got there, I settled down next to a girl who wore thick glasses and had red hair that was coiled in a bun.

Before presenting herself to me and telling me her name, she gave me a bashful smile and gave me her name. "My name is Daciana." The fiery-haired woman with the curls smiled at me, and I responded by flashing a trembling smile of mine in her direction.

After getting my thoughts together, I went to the curious youngsters surrounding us and introduced myself as Lovota. "Holy cow, that's an awesome name." Daciana, who was standing in the background, could be seen scribbling on a piece of paper.

My response was a shrug and the phrase "my father chose it."

"Charlie was the name that my father wanted to give me." The expression of disbelief on Daciana's face made me laugh out loud. "By the way, your eyes have a really nice appearance."

"Appreciate it." Since it was so unusual for someone to comment on my eyes' good condition, I couldn't help but grin. A childhood buddy of mine had the same issue, except it affected just one eye. Daciana flashed a smile in the direction I was heading.

After practically stumbling into the god-like twins earlier, I spent the length of the session speaking with Daciana and attempted to ask questions about them in a way that didn't make it too evident that I was referring to them.

That cute pair of identical twins Daciana's cheeks began to pink as she focused intently on the page she was editing. There is a line that says "Lowell and Duko."

"Which one is supposed to be which?" I scowled at them. Their names appeared to be an excellent representation of their gritty, unpolished selves.

Daciana said with a scowl, "I always get them mixed up, but I'm pretty sure the one with the longer hair is Duko and the other one is Lowell." There was some hesitancy in her voice.

"Oh, right." To answer your question, yes, I did it. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't seem to escape the picture of the two of them in my thoughts. No matter how hard I tried, it was not working. They glared at me with such hostility and disdain that I couldn't help but feel thrown off balance. However, I still couldn't help but think about them.

"If I were you, I wouldn't bother messing with them at all." Daciana shook her head condescendingly and said, "They sleep around a lot." "I didn't factor that into my plans." I nodded and smiled in a friendly manner. At that precise moment, I decided there was absolutely no chance in hell that I would ever get close to the twins again. They would never even consider the possibility of a love relationship with someone like myself. It seems that they were more interested in attractive ladies who may as well be models.

You had no idea what to expect from me, and you were dead wrong. I often avoided social situations because I felt and probably looked awkward. While conversing aimlessly with Daciana during the last weekend, I had the bright idea to make some arrangements. She described working as a waitress at a local establishment and offered to help me get a job there if I was interested. She promised to pick me up from school the day following the interview and take me to the restaurant.

"It's not fancy or anything, but it's the fanciest we have in this town," the proprietor joked about the establishment's degree of sophistication. Then, with a shrug, Daciana elaborated. On the other side, if you are adept at flirting with customers, you may wind up with some pretty substantial tips. Those words made me chuckle, but its true: "I have no idea how to be flirty."

I was quite nervous and anxious about the prospect of working as a server. The more nervous I became, the clumsier I seemed, and the last thing anybody wanted was a server who would ruin their clothes by knocking over their drinks. It seemed like the last thing anybody wanted was for me to spill beverages all over their nice clothing.

Your skill set will undoubtedly expand. It's a requirement of the job that can't be avoided. Then, with a shrug, Daciana elaborated. When I walked into my next session and saw Daciana seated in the back, I knew that it was going to be a great day for me. For a long time, I had hoped for this opportunity.

We picked up where we left off talking about it in the next class.

"There are some good people among these folks, too." Continuing her encouraging grin, Daciana told me, "You won't have any trouble surviving as long as you stay away from Lovel and her friends." I listened to her advice and stayed away from Lovel and her friends.

With a frown on my face, I said, "Lovel?" She's the young woman in brunette who's always hanging around with the twins. After receiving a reply from Daciana, I was able to put a face with the name. Lovel was the young girl who, while having the look of a supermodel, addressed me in an insulting way. This is a fantastic way to kick things off, but I fear I missed my chance. I scowled at them.

Daciana, trembling slightly, advised that the twins be avoided at all costs in the future. She's showing a lot of guardedness towards Lowell since she's with him now.

In spite of the fact that I was more than eager to take Daciana up on her advice, it appeared that my recent run of good luck had come to an end.

After that, the two of them came to my next session. They had the whole room to themselves, and they were all sitting at a large square table. As the instructor motioned for me to join the group at their table, my stomach dropped, and my heart almost stopped beating.

My foot accidentally brushed over the leg of another person's table as I made my way towards the rear of the room, and I almost lost my footing and fell down. In the nick of time, I managed to pull myself together and suppress my need to join in the other kids' laughter.

I felt like my stomach was about to flip out of my body and my face was on fire, but I slipped down to the table where the twins were seated. Until I could control the pace at which my heart was thumping, I avoided making direct eye contact with any of them.

Realising that I was being watched by two people at once, I heaved a nervous sigh. By cocking my head to the side, I was able to look directly into each of the twins' eyes. They were both sitting across the table from me, staring intently into my own pair of dark eyes.

Being able to view them from such close proximity was a blessing and a curse. Because of this, I was able to examine them extensively. That came as a divine favour. As I got closer, I could feel the attraction becoming stronger. Despite Lowell having a somewhat more muscular physique than his brother, the two brothers were practically identical in appearance.

Thick brows, long eyelashes, and full lips are an appealing face combination. Sitting there by myself, I attempted to weigh my options and decide which path to choose, but I couldn't. For a time, I just sat there. Both were so stunningly beautiful that I had trouble picking a favourite.

"Oh, look, it's Lovel." A wide grin accompanied Duko's delivery of the sentences. "It's the young girl with the odd eyes," the man identified the suspect as saying.
