3 days later.

With my hands into fists beside me, I ran through the woods, but I didn't feel the scratches of the branches against my bare arms as I kept running, my vision blurring.

I stopped abruptly in front of my destination and fell to my knees. The dark brown wooden cottage stood gloriously in front of me and I could do nothing but break down right there. With my face in my hands, the tears I never knew I could shed shuddered out of me as my shoulders shook with the new profound feeling of heart break. Of misery. Of pain. And most of all.

Regret.

The regret I felt in that moment could not be described with any word. I abruptly stood up when I heard a soft groan from the inside. Running to the window in a flash, I looked throught the half drawn blinds and saw the face of my beautiful mate. Laying down in a bed with her eyes tightly closed. Her forehead was creased with a frown, and her face was wet.
