Chapter 16: Party Time

Aurora’s POV

After endless walking around town and being told endless descriptions about various buildings we were finally back at Faith and Dillion’s house. I sat down on the couch and groaned as my feet ached beneath me. My head fell onto the back of the couch with Faith sitting beside me.

“What was that about you and Alex?” Dillion asked when we were safely inside the house.

I sat up on the bed and looked at Dillion’s face. I wasn’t sure why he had asked me the question, but I didn’t know the answer. Before today Alex and I had never spoken or had any type of interaction.

“I don’t know. Today’s the first day that we’ve spoken since the training. He’s the guy who found us before we had to relocate here, but that’s it. It was bizarre that he even spoke to me,” I said.

I was just as confused as Dillion was. I said yes to be nice and to open the door to the possibility of a normal life. I had spent all my life fighting for a place in the pack and this could be my chance at that.
