I raised an eyebrow.

How could I have known? I had been sleeping with Elias that night.

"Jacqueline, I just want to tell you one thing, don't warm a snake in your bosom."

Did he mean that Elias was a snake?

I took a sip of my coffee, "I don't know why, but I just love a good challenge. You said Elias is a snake, that's right up my alley."

Ian was disappointed and looked gloomy.

In the afternoon, Jenkins, who was in charge of the trainees, came over.

I handed him a document, "The four of them will work under you. Take care of them. There's a branch of the Y project. I want you and the four of them to be in charge of it, understand?"

Jenkins was a bit surprised, "Boss, isn't the Y Project your most important project? The four of them are new here..."

"So…" I tapped my desk with the cap of my pen, "I need you, an experienced employee, to lead and guide them."

"Yes, I will not let you down, but..."

"Jenkins, you might as well get to the point."
