Part 5

Her mother's name is Roshni and her father's name is Veer. House in those times was built with mud bricks and it is still prevalent in some villages. Her parents grew up in a joint family. Roshni's father had six brother's and they all had children. Roshni was the eldest among her siblings and cousins. In her siblings, she had two younger brothers and one youngest sister. Veer's father had two wives. From her mother, he had five brothers and one sister. And from the other, he had two brothers and one sister. He was the youngest among his all siblings.

Veer was not aware that his father and brothers went to look for a girl for him. He had many dreams in his eyes.

Roshni's father was famous in the village as he was very generous and kind. Her father and all his brothers always participated in society's problems together. In panchayat too, her father's opinions were regarded as important. And so Veer's father and brothers came from different villages after learning good things about Roshni's father. In those times, lanterns were used after evening as a source of light. So when Veer's father and brother reached there it was evening. Everyone welcomed them nicely. They also wanted to go back the same day, so they asked if they could see Roshni right now. And Roshni's parents agreed. Her mother showed Roshni using a lantern. They asked some questions too, like can she walk properly or not, etc. After an hour, they asked permission to leave without saying anything. Everyone in the house was worried. And Roshni had no idea too, what to do or not. She was just preparing herself for everything.

In Veer's house, when everybody came back and started discussing this in the night. Veer didn't sleep that night. He was totally in the cloudy atmosphere where he couldn't look at anything or decide anything for himself.

After two days, they went again to Roshni's house. And they finalized the marriage with small rituals. Now they can take Roshni in their house any time.

After one month they are going to get married. During this one month, Veer attempted to run away many times, after hearing that her soon-to-be wife was older than him and also dark in color. And he can't believe their father and brother are doing this to him. And no one listened to him even if he tried to tell them that he didn't want to get married...
