chapter 8: The bad boy rizz

( AN: i know i am doing a poor job when it comes to character interaction or expressing their characteristics despite having a good idea about the story in my head, i just cant write it well, so i asked chatgpt for some suggestions to improve my writing style and got quite a few that i will try to apply from this chapter onward, but i don't know how to use those point well so i will slowly learn them while applying them. i will also change some minor things about my characters that i created, like how they talk, interact and improve characteristics, as for the characters from the original work i will try my best to imitate them)

I put my right palm on my mouth to conceal my wide yawn.

" I am still sleepy."

I am currently on my way to school by bicycle, as usual. My eyes are a little red, as if they are pleading to me to go back to sleep; this happened since I read all those books late at night and had little sleep.

Maybe I am a bit late than usual. I notice from a few distances away a familiar black car parked in front of the school gate, and five familiar figures emerge from it. Oh no, there are six familiar figures; the extra one is a boy who stood beside the car.

"Everything is going according to the story, which is both bad and good at the same time."

From a distance, I spotted a girl among them wearing headphones around her neck. As I saw her, I couldn't keep my gaze away from her for a few seconds, but then that warning passes through my mind, and I clench my handles tightly, my eyes filled with determination and affection for her.

"Today, I'll have to get close to her to make her stop attending that guy's forceful lessons, otherwise it will be bad for me."

I know some of you may feel sympathy for him and his sister after watching his living conditions, so he truly needs the money that he will get from teaching them, which is his mentality right now, but I will take his "students" away from him, with the exception of his "wife". But hey, I'm not doing him any harm: according to the arrangement between their father and him, he'll obtain his money as long as they pass the exam, so he has nothing to lose, right?

Upon recognizing that guy, who is Futarou as you have already figured, the five girls attempted to run away but halted in their steps, this time it's not because of Futarou but because I greeted them in a loud voice as I reached them while riding my bicycle.

"Good morning, Girls!"

you could point that i don't specifically mentioned anyone's name, so why did they stop? Well, it's not only them who stopped in their track. when you are walking and hear a loud voice won't you stop to see who is this idiot shouting in the morning? But there is a reason why i did that.

I stopped my bicycle in front of them to get down, with a warm smile on my face. Seeing all the gazes from students passing by, two of them have already fled the scene.

Nino sighed and placed a palm on her forehead.

"Hey, could you not shout like an idiot first thing in the morning?"

"Oh, sorry about that; I was so happy to see you guys."

"....."

Nino remains silent, as if she does not want to speak any further with me. To break the silence between us, I suggested something.

"Let's go together; we're running late."

"Huh? Stop bothering me, the person over there is already annoying me enough, I don't need another one."

"Hey Nino, Don't be-"

Ichika stepped forward to tell Nino to not be so rude, But before she could, I stepped away from them to approach Futarou who was a few feet away. I slide my shiny blonde hair backward, stood face to face with him. our heights almost same but my build is bigger than him, i cracked my neck with my right hand like a delinquent ready to fight, my eyes 'sharp' and 'cold'.

"What it is, punk? Why are you bothering her? Do you need something?"

Futarou flinched and put both his hands in front of him; one or two beads of sweat could be visible in his forehead, clearly shaken by my sudden confrontation, added with my 'cold' voice and 'gaze'. 

"Wh..what do..do you m..mean?"

"Huh, trying-"

I reached out to grab his collar, but someone stopped me before I could.

"No no, Shio, stop, he isn't a bad guy!"

Yotsuba stepped up to defend him. However, that is on my calculations, given her character, which cannot see someone in trouble, especially if they are someone she is close to. 

I looked at the other two, Nino was facing the opposite direction, 'I wonder why'. When my eyes met with Ichika, she only nodded in agreement with Yotsuba's claims.

"I see, so it's a misunderstanding on my part. sorry dude, my bad."

I gently placed my hand on his shoulder, my face 'apologetic'. which is obviously not the case.

"It's okay, it happens sometimes, be mindful the next time."

He flipped his front hair to the side, as he always does whenever he is in a pinch to appear calm. 

"Alright, now we should hurry or we will all be late."

I mentioned this to remind them that we don't have much time, but it's more than enough to get to class without hurry.

"Then, excuse me, i am going first."

Futarou was the first one to go in a rush, and we soon began to walk. I'm not really walking with them, but rather following them from behind. why? you asked? well, They did not agree that I could, and I do not have to.

When we entered the school building, Nino, unbeknownst to Ichika and Yotsuba, slowed her pace to match mine. She glanced at my face with her eyes, which were not cold like usual.

"You have something to say to me?"

Of course, I know what's going on in her head. After all, I created that prior situation for this moment, using my asset, Which is my 'bad boy' looks. 

"Hmph, Not really; I was simply wondering. Were you going to start a fight there?"

"Y..Yes."

I replied to her question by scratching the back of my neck and smiling 'embarrassingly' at my previous behavior.

"Why?"

Nino has a serious look on her face, apparently trying to confirm something.

I also look her in the eyes, matching her seriousness. With a voice that was serene, I began telling her the reason she wanted to hear.

"Even if you don't consider me a friend, you guys are my first and only friends at this school with whom I can freely talk, and I will not simply sit ideally when my friends are in trouble. I would do whatever I could, like this time what i could do is beat that guy so he never bothers you again."

Nino's eyes widen, surprised by my straightforward answer.

"Huh? Are you an idiot? That could get you suspended, you know?"

To her reminder, I give her the most charming smile I could muster.

"I could do this much for my only friends, right?"

Seeing my smile. Nino blushed crazily and averted her gaze; this was the first time I had seen her blushing since coming to this world. 

"Hmph, I never asked for your help, and I still don't consider you a friend."

She tried to appear unaffected by acting like a typical tsundere, but the crimson color on her ears is obvious. After saying that, she quickened her pace to rejoin her sisters. But by this point, we had already reached our classrooms.

"Heh, She just cannot be honest, can she? which also makes her even more cute. Anyway, considering her test in guys, the 'bad boy rizz' that I once saw on tiktok did well."
