Chapter 4

She closed her eyes almost drifting to sleep when her room door opened abruptly with a loud bang. Her eyes flew open a little startled, she looked at the door and saw Julia standing there

"Where have you been" Julia asked by sharply

" Where else would I be?"

"I sent maids to search for you but you were no where to be found"

" I guess they didn't look hard enough" Jucin gave a taunting smile

"You're lieing" Julia yelled

"please shut up and close the door on your way out" Jucin pointed at the door

" How dare you" Julia gave her hard glares " You're just jealous cause I have something you can never dream of having" Julia resorted to her old techniques of taunting and turning her on by using her witch abilities everyone thought she would possess

"And what is that?" Jucin raised her eyebrows "Your perceived witch abilities" she takes " May I remind you you're 19 and yet no signs, I wonder if they made a mistake all along"

"You!" Jucin saw the silver of pain that quickly flashed through her eyes " You'll regret this" Julia said and after that she walked out of the room and shut the door behind her.

Jucin didn't know why she had chosen to retaliate, she had always remained quiet while her sister rained abuse on her but today she had chosen to stand up for herself, she closed her eyes as she drifted back to sleep.

Jucin woke up to the sounds of loud chatter and other loud noises in the castle, ' couldn't she just sleep a little' she groaned in frustration, then she heard someone knocking on her door, she got up steadily to open the door and she found 3 maids outside

"what's going on"? she asked

"we're having a royal gala princess" the maid

" And why didn't anyone Inform me?" She asked, the pitch of her voice a little higher

" The queen specially told princess Julia to inform you" the maid replied

"oh" she mumbled, that explained why Julia came to her room the previous night " come in" she told them and they entered the room.

She saw her mother walking in the hallway and she quickly went to meet her" Greetings mother" she greeted

"Morning" she hummed " why aren't you dressed?" she asked coldly

" I wasn't informed about the gala"

" You would have been informed if you weren't so rude to Julia yesterday"

"Mother I... " she said but was quickly interrupted by Queen Reile

"Don't you dare blame Julia for your unethical behavior, I guess being too lenient is never the right decision" Queen Reile walked away leaving Jucin all alone in the hallway. she sighed and went back to her room to get prepared.

She came out wearing a long blue gown with diamonds designed around it, She raised the Hem of her gown and walked briskly down the staircase which was leading to the ballroom which was now the venue for the royal gala.

The room was filled with a lot of royalties from far and near. She was asked to dance by alot of people and she danced with them all as she didn't want to be rude while her sister only danced with the highly sophisticated ones and didn't give a damn of how the others felt

Jucin kept thinking about the prince, wondering if he would show up but to her utter dismay he didn't. The royal gala ended blissfully .
