Chapter 5

Two Days Later

The ship continued to sail far north. Razor stood on the quarter deck and he was behind the wheel as he watches his men whom were busy drinking beer on the main deck,make merry.

He frowns as a thought of Vivian slithered through his head. He brushed it aside as he stares in front.

‘What is she trying to hide? And why is she in search of that island??’

He furrows his brows.

‘Perhaps... the map. Is she with it? ...since no one knows where it was kept,did Beatrice give it to her??’

“How is it going,Captain?” The black guy asks as he climbs the stairs that led up to the deck.

“Going pretty nice,Jack. The ladies?” Razor asks.

“They’ve been in their room,not willing to come out yet. I guess they need their own space.” Jack said,his African accent was prominent.

“The one with the red hair did say she was in search of that island. The island we have toiled the seas for years in search of. I have this belief that she holds the map. Beatrice had hidden it from us before she died. We have to be as smart as possible. Those girls are not as unintelligent as I thought they would turn out to be.” Razor said.

“So what are you suggesting?”

Razor looks down and he could see Vivian and Anna moving into the main deck.

“We will have to win their trust. If we stay low,they could lead us to the treasure. If Beatrice had sent them to me,then they should have the map with them.”

“Aye aye,Captain.” Jack said.

Razor hands the wheel to Jack to take over the steering. He moves down the quarter deck to get to Vivian and Anna and he had a smile on his face.

“Good morning,beauties. So nice to see your faces once again.” He said as he approaches them.

Vivian and Anna turn around to face him,frowning as though they weren’t pleased.

“Good morning,Captain Razor.” Vivian said.

Anna kept the frown on her face as he was now standing in front of them.

“You both look so beautiful this morning. It seems the sun rose on your faces.” Razor said.

“Not after you tried to seduce my sister the other night. You should have spoken about how irresponsible you are,Captain. We are not harlots,so try to respect that.” Anna vehemently said.

Razor was taken aback by her utterance that he felt a wave of embarrassment sweep his cores.

“I... I apologize for my lack of behavior. I was only trying to acquaint myself with your sister.”

“There are ways to acquaint yourself with a person,not the way you did it. It was as though you were trying to act on my naivety and then get me to sleep with you.” Vivian said.

“I am sorry,Vivian. Don’t get me wrong,sometimes it may just be the force of attraction working at that moment.” Razor calmly said.

“Force of attraction? My sister is a virgin! She doesn’t even know how to get a guy to be attracted to her!! Next time,behave yourself and don’t try to mess with her vulnerability!!” Anna sternly said.

Razor lets out a sigh. The crew members had stopped whatever they were doing and they were watching them. Anna and Vivian’s eyes were fixed on him as they were expecting him to say something.

“I apologize. Please... forgive me and it won’t happen again.” He said,giving them a gentlemanly bow.

Vivian and Anna glances at each other as they were surprised to see a pirate act so humbly and well mannered in front of them.

Vivian lets out a sigh as he straightens up.

“You don’t have to do that. We hold no grudges against you,Captain Razor.”

“I am happy that you don’t and Tonight,I want you to join us as it is gonna be a special one.” He smirks.

“What’s the celebration?” Anna asks with a cocked brow.

“Well... we rarely let strangers sail with us. So since we allowed you both,we wanna host you to a little drinking party. That way,I could introduce you to everyone on board and you don’t have to worry,you are safe with us. We don’t bite.”

Anna glances at her sister who was staring at Razor suspiciously. She then returns her gaze to Razor.

“Sure. No problem. We would love to as we don’t know everyone you are siring over and we don’t trust anyone of them,including you.” Vivian said,her tone was calm but her gaze was searching.

“That’s great then. If you are hungry...” he glances at a crew member that was carrying a wooden barrel towards the berth “...Philip!”

The man quickly turns around to look at him.

“Take them to the kitchen and tell the chef to give them a nice treat to a wonderful breakfast.” He said with a sweet smile on his face.

Philip nodded. Although he was surprised to see that his captain was acting weirdly nice,he couldn’t ask why as he knew who Razor was.

Razor returns his gaze to the girls.

“Go with him. He will take you there and bon appetit.”

Vivian and Anna walks to where the man stood and they followed him. Razor watches them as they moved into the berth,his hands were clasped behind his back.

He quickly whistles to a crew member that was busy mopping the wooden floor. The crew member immediately approaches him.

“Good day,Captain.” The man greeted.

“I want you to take another crew member into the cabin that is being occupied by those girls,ransack the entire place,make sure you find the map and then bring it to me.” Razor commanded.

“But Captain,what if they catch us going over their stuffs?”

Razor scowls at him.

“We are far from dry land now and this is my ship. You don’t have to worry about anything...” he returns his gaze to the berth “...I have everything under control.”
