Spying on the prince.

Leo sat across Hazel, each one of them holding two cards. Neither of them had said a word, mostly because Hazel didn't know what to say or what to talk about. She just agreed to play a game of cards because she had nothing better to do and thought it would be a good way to pass time.

Leo still couldn't understand what had gotten over him and sat there staring at the cards in his hands, wondering if he was also starting to lose his mind. Even now, as Hazel sat opposite him, he could still hear her heartbeat and smell her now strong earthly scent.

His brows furrowed deeply and his mind was barely focused on the game. What was happening to him?

Hazel suddenly dropped her cards and looked up at him beaming.

Leo absentmindedly stared at the cards on the table; a straight flush. He dejectedly dropped his cards, sweeping his palm over his face with a tired sigh. This was not helping.
