Shortly after loosing her uncle and her home in a tragic fire incident, Hazel Troyanda finds herself facing severe charges in the Kragon kingdom. She had only been seeking refuge in a town near the border when she was arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment for attempted murder on the second prince of Kragon. With no means to defend herself and no evidence or witnesses to prove her innocence, Hazel has no choice but to serve her sentence. But five years down the line, the warden of the no-name prison strikes a deal with her. After leaving the palace, Ace took Hazel to the infirmary where the latter refused to get treated because the physician was an old man, so the two ended up in the outskirts of town where a local woman treated Hazel's wound and bandaged her shoulder.

"Perhaps you might want to take a break from the palace," the woman suggested as she packed some herbs for Hazel in a satchel bag. She was around the same age as Hazel, with long blonde hair and blue, gentle eyes. Hazel thought she was beautiful.

"If only I was the one giving myself orders," she responded with a helpless sigh as she pulled her bloodstained shirt over her head.
