A strange dream.

The hallways in the west wing of the castle were entirely dark and Hazel couldn't remember how she got there because the last thing she remembered was sleeping in the room she shared with three men.

She was still dressed in her casual clothes because she didn't feel safe enough to wear sleeping clothes with other men inside the room. But she was barefoot, and her hair fell on her back. The fire torches had gone off, which was strange because they burnt till morning.

'Where's everyone?' she wondered as she continued wandering aimlessly. She didn't know where she was going. It was as if only half of her brain was conscious while the other half was deep asleep, but her feet carried her to the prince's room.

She had only turned a corner when she heard muffled whimpers. She hurried her footsteps, trying to keep her heart calm even though panic gripped her senses and she knew something was wrong.
