Chapter 8

Harry was getting dressed with his mother's help for a formal get together at Mom Amelia's house to celebrate Sirius bringing back his cousin Andromeda and her husband and daughter into the Black family as he didn't care if she married a Muggleborn. Harry had been learning ballroom dancing from his mother Lily for the past six months as he considered it a useful skill and when his mother offered to teach him after he once stumbled upon her practising her dancing and he readily agreed as it also served to make his movements more graceful.

Harry along with his parents and sister arrived at Sirius's house using the floo network which Harry had mastered travelling by and his mother cleaned his robes of any soot with a flick of her wand. Harry immediately rushed and hugged his mom (Amelia) whom he hadn't seen in nearly two weeks as she was very busy and he was working on completing his degrees in chemistry and computer science as once he turned eleven he wouldn't have the chance to study muggle subjects for the next seven years at least.

Sirius, then introduced his cousin and her family, "this is my cousin Andromeda pointing to a beautiful middle aged witch and her husband Ted Tonks who is a lawyer pointing to a middle aged man jovial looking man who was chatting with Harry's grandfather and finally pointing to a girl who looked to be of Hogwarts age and was sporting spiky bubblegum pink hair he said this is my niece Nymphadora Tonks she is currently attending Hogwarts and is in her fifth year ".

Nymphadora Tonks was not amused as Sirius kept calling her Nymphadora despite her warning him against doing that and telling him to call her Tonks and then looked over at the newcomers who Sirius was introducing them to and found out that they were James and Lily Potter and their son Harry and their youngest child Hyacinth Potter. She was excited to meet Lily Potter as she was a legend in potions and charms as the youngest person to achieve a mastery in charms and joint youngest along with Snape to achieve a mastery in Potions and in her excitement her hair color started changing by going through all the colors in a rainbow which led to Harry being excited and asking her how she was doing that and on hearing that she was a metamorphmagus she was subjected to a battery of questions on her abilities and their limits by the young boy who was apparently only ten years old but could pass as a twelve year old as he was rather tall for his age and looked toned and fit , before his mother asked him to stop his questioning saying, " my dear baby bookworm Harry, save some of your questions for after lunch she is not going anywhere ", making him pout cutely which caused both Lily Potter and Amelia Black to pinch his cheeks and cooing at his cuteness making him blush in embarrassment.

Overall it was an enjoyable afternoon for Harry who enjoyed the company of Tonks or as he began teasing her 'she who must not be named' Tonks, she kept entertaining the children by making funny uses of her metamorphmagus ability and also answered all his questions about Hogwarts and kept bemoaning the difficulty of the OWL exams she was taking that year. Since that day the Tonks regularly joined them whenever there was a family dinner.
