Harry had always known that he was different from the other children as he seemed to be a lot more calm than other children and also everything he studied in school seemed to come easily to him like it was something he had already known and was just revising to refresh his memory. Another special thing with him was that he started getting flashes of memories of another life in his sleep since his fourth birthday. The dreams indicated a life in which he was an intelligent but sick orphan who died at the young age of fifteen in a world which was vastly different from his current one where there was no magic and he was apparently a book character with vastly different circumstances than his present ones. While there was no emotional attachment to these memories he appreciated more the family he had in this life especially his mother and baby sister along with everyone else too and he knew that he would kill every death eater for their safety as they would definitely be targeted when Voldemort returned. Voldemort would die by his hand regardless of a prophecy and Neville being the chosen one as Voldemort was a threat to his family which he would not tolerate. But Harry knew that to kill Voldemort he would have to be Dumbledore's equal in magic at least when it came to magical fighting but he realised that he could achieve that atleast by the age of seventeen as he had the libraries of both the Potter and Black families at his disposal and also the Hogwarts library and Room of requirements when he went to Hogwarts. During one of his visits to Potter manor he read in a book titled the Basic theory of magic about the magical maturity and about the three stabilising boosts to a wizard's magic at the age of 7, 11 and the third stabilizing boost happened depending on the wizard, more powerful the wizard the earlier it happened. So Harry decided to start practising his wandless magic after turning seven i.e. after the first stabilizing boost to his magic but in the meanwhile he set about learning about his new family and found out that his father James along with his godfather Sirius and Godmother Amelia were aurors while his mother Lily was a potions and charms mistress and worked on her own inventions and sometimes consulted with the Department of Mysteries. His grandfather Charles Potter used to work as an unspeakable while his grandmother Dorea Potter was a healer but had retired shortly after his birth.

Lily Potter was surprised when one day after breakfast Harry was bouncing in his chair and when she asked him about it he said ,

"Maman teach me magic ", while giving her his best puppy eyed look and she could never say no to her baby boy so Lily agreed to teach him about Potions as any other magic would require a wand and that would not happen till he was eleven years old but she made Harry promise not to mess with any potions on his own and also to pay complete attention to her when she was teaching, and thus she began teaching Harry the basics of Potions making starting from how to thoroughly clean his equipment by hand before attempting any potion and also not to use any magic when cleaning the equipment so as to not interfere with the potion you are making. Lily taught him on the weekends for three hours as he went to school on the weekdays. Harry was proving himself to be a genius he was already in secondary school in eighth grade having quickly advanced through primary school.

While Lily had been initially skeptical about teaching potions to her six year old son, Harry had kept his word and had soaked up everything she taught him. By the time his seventh birthday came around Harry could name all the common potions ingredients on sight and could tell their effects accurately again proving that he had inherited her genius. When his seventh birthday came around Lily knew exactly what to get him and gifted him a basic potions making kit so that ke could start making basic potions under her supervision and needless to say Harry was delighted and James kept saying that there seemed to be another Potions prodigy in the house other than Lily. James gifted Harry with his first broomstick and he immediately raced outside to fly, James and Sirius slowly taught him how to handle a broomstick and Harry turned out to be at ease in the air and kept her tense with the speed with which he kept zooming through the air making James whoop in delight that at least there was something Harry took after him in. Sirius and Amelia gifted him a broom maintaining kit. While his grandparents gifted him a book on potion making called, " Potion ingredients and their reactions. " to Harry's delight making him give Dorea a bone breaking hug.
