The Looming Death

"RUN! AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN!" The man shouted at his companions, warning them about the gut-wrenching feeling he had, after seeing the golden-masked man up close. For the first time in his life, he felt such an overwhelming feeling of hopelessness. The feeling of 'The Looming Death'. "Why?" One of them asked, visibly shocked by his comrade's outrage. "HE IS COMING! 'NOTHING' IS COMIN-" But, before the man could have finished his sentence. His mouth disintegrated into thin air, slowly followed by the other parts of his body. In less than a minute, there was nothing left of that man. Not even ashes. ________________________________________________ Gods and devils rule over the world of mortals. Gods and Monarchs- 10

Arsh smiled, looking at the condensed sword making its way toward his head. From the start, he never wanted to fight the Gods or the Monarchs in the first place.

They were out of his realm. Winning was out of the question. It was more like a poisonous bug trying to fight an elephant. Not powerful at all, but craftily dangerous nonetheless.

Arsh needed a high amount of essence to make the teleportation artifact work. However, placing it directly in front of the attack would have been a very stupid idea. As it could easily damage the artifact itself.

So, he chose a somewhat complicated approach.

The plan was to reduce the momentum of impact, to slow it down enough to make it harmless for the artifact. That way he could charge the blue box without damaging it.

Though, the first part of the plan was the actual problem.

Arsh stood in front of the attack, unmoving. The golden cracks in his hand were also getting larger with every second he spent, using the God-forbid spell.
