Chapter 4: The Day’s Off

Waking up, he slowly opened his eyes to the light beaming into his eyes. "Oh crap, the bill is going to be so high!" He screamed while sandwiching his face between his hands. "I forgot the damn light. How can I forget the damn light?" He cried out.

He made his way to the kitchen, picking up an apple. He sat down on his computer and began researching ideas for his tech company. Messing with a few codes, he managed to create a waving monkey. "Wow, nice!" he praised himself. While praising himself, he remembered yesterday and the embarrassment that his teacher caused him. "Damn him, what was the teacher thinking?" he bit the apple aggressively while typing away with one hand.

While his attention was captivated by the codes he was creating. His door ringed, and he managed to get up and head towards the door. His mind was racing and creating unrealistic scenarios. Finally, he opened the door to an old lady. "Oh, old ma'am, hey, here is the rent," he said, smiling.

And his response was met by a bow and an appreciation from the old lady. "Thank you, handsome," she spoke, sending a cozy feeling to the boy's heart.

He bowed his head and closed his door softly after she had left. "Mmm, nothing beats her smile," he said while walking towards his laptop.

After a few hours, he seemed exhausted from the coding and typing, deciding it was time for a cup of coffee. He insisted that a homemade one would be to his satisfaction. "Hmm, a caramel coffee, for sure today!" Determined, he went into his kitchen and took out the needed ingredients.

"Coffee machine, check." he began going down the list. "Next, Caramel, check!" He sang happily. Then, "Espresso, check." He had finally reached the final item, and with excitement, he shouted. "Vanilla syrup check."

After preparing his favorite energy drink, Suzuki cleaned his kitchen and sat on his couch. Laying down, he slipped inside of his covers and started watching his favorite animes. While waiting out the evening, he became bored and decided to walk in the park.

In the dimmed sky, he walked alone, checking his phone every couple of minutes; he walked into a pole.

Boom!

"Shit, I hope nobody saw that," he prayed, speeding away. Then, walking off into the distance, he managed to slip past everyone's attention. Happy, he celebrated not being caught by anyone, "thank goodness," he said in relief as he decided it was time to head home.

"A day that's the same as always." He told himself, expressing his loneliness. "But I'm not losing on anything. When I'm rich, I will have lots of friends!" He brushed off the unhappy emotions.

Arriving home, he announced his return, "I'm home." Feeling hungry, he prepared a cup noodle for himself and was in silence. Then, he felt lonely in the silence, urging him to turn on his favorite anime. Shutting off the silence with noise, he felt comfortable with himself. Suzuki sat watching the night away.

In the morning, he woke up on his second day off and went straight to the kitchen. Then, grabbing an apple, he left and headed for StarCafe. "Today, I will order the drink I want!" But the same usual was the same regular. His heart was racing, and his ideas were running non-stop.

"Next, please." announced the cashier. "Hello and welcome to StarCafe, Mr. Suzuki. The same usual hot dark coffee?" Asked the cashier with a soft smile.

"Y-yes, thanks." He spoke differently than usual. This time his response was a little different from normal, and he felt happy about it.

"Didn't get the order, but I sure changed a thing today!" Suzuki happily celebrated in his head as he took a seat, awaiting his order to be called.

The usual routine went on, and he left the cafe in a hurry. Heading home, he planned on taking his code of the "Monke man" a little further than usual.

"Today, I will make him dance," he decided and started typing on his keyboard. "This will be hard, but not as hard as loneliness when I'm older!" He said with a determined look as tears shimmered in his green eyes.

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
