Sabine's eyes grew round as they always did at the mention of Celia's mother. "Your mother instructs your father about what he should do? And he actually listens to her?"
"Oh yes, because he knows what's good for him." Celia replied with a grin. "Father's always said he's married to a lady of formidable will and and shrewdness. He values her advice even if he sometimes doesn't like the sound of it much. I just know Mother will be a powerful queen and advisor to him."
Celia paused. She was glad to know her mother was there to be a good influence on her father, and finally be able to command the respect she deserved. But a pang of sorrow reminded her that she'd probably never be in the same position with her own young husband.
