"Commence testing," I say while sending another drone over to me as I looked around at the modified genesis chamber around me

Zod used the one in the scoutship to give himself adaptive powers that allowed him to go toe to toe with me after a while

Soon I will also be able to adapt in response to physical trauma at least

Which will be very useful but I can't afford to stop at just getting adaptative capabilities

I can only hope that I am successful in doing this

I bring up a screen showing my DNA or more specifically something in it

My Metagene

Something that I have been looking for ways to awaken it but so far I have been unsuccessful on that front

Looking down at my outfit I smile as I am finally wearing a true Kryptonian skinsuit

Something that quite honestly I missed a lot

It is incredibly comfortable

Wearing it under a Kryptonian armor that I made for myself makes me feel safe from everything around me

Thinking of my armors, I make the decision to finally, umm, steal, Tony Starks ideas

To be honest, I think it is a good idea

My counterparts never really tried to cover all of their bases

If I were to find myself stranded somewhere and I didn't have my powers, I could at least rely on my equipment to get me through those types of situations

I get out of the Genesis Chamber and go over to my lab and bring up some information some stuff of interest for me

I have no idea how long it will take me to figure out much of my Kryptonian powers and while I am sure that I will get my adaptation power soon, I can't just rely on them for everything

Opening the list, I mark several items of interest, that exist, might exist, or will exist

Sentry Serum

..and that's it, that is all I know about some of the stuff that might be out there

I have some information about multiple projects related to the Super Soldier Serum but nothing about any projects about the Golden Sentry Project, yet.

The Sentry Serum is something that I want and it is quite possibly the easiest for me to get but also one of the most dangerous

Sighing I go out and fly into the sky to relax a bit

#TIMESKIP 5 DAYS LATER#

"Begin," I order my computer as I am grabbed by some cable and in a few minutes I am encased in a cocoon so that I may get my adaptation

I close my eyes as the cocoon gets filled with the liquid and hold my breath as I allow myself to be moved by the cocoon as the liquid surrounds my head

I feel energy hitting the cocoon as I can feel something crawling on my skin as the process begins to alter me on a fundamental level

This feels...nice

It feels like I am being hugged

I stay in this cocoon for quite some time before something stabs into it and the fluid begins to fall down

I tear open the cocoon and come out and breathe in the air

"I feel weird," I say looking at my hands while they look the same on the surface, I can see the changes in my cells

They are...evolving

Rapidly

I go outside into the sun and I can feel it, clear as day

My body is taking in the sun's radiation faster, and from what I can see of my cells, more efficiently

"Woah," I say in awe at my new power

I clench my fist and ask myself one question that is burning on my mind at the moment

How powerful ARE my counterparts?

Just these past few minutes since I obtained my adaptation, I am pretty sure that I will shoot right past my previous self when I was on my DC-Earth in a few weeks if not days

My counterparts were able to defeat Doomsday on their own

Mostly

Yet, I relied on a Kryptonite Spear in order to kill it as I was pretty sure that it was stronger than me

Some of them can do stuff, I can't do, I tried

I tried to focus my heat vision to a microscopic level or anywhere close to it but I can't

Even doing the opposite and trying to expand how wide I can make my heat vision is beyond me

I don't if its because I can't or I don't know how to yet

I have explored my vision to try to see in different types of vision and while I have had some success with it, is not enough for me

I think more about my counterparts and just feel, inadequate

Some of them are fast enough to traverse the universe or even reach the Source Wall which is so far away from their universe of origin in a few minutes

I hate this

I hate being less than what I CAN be

Most of my counterparts are stronger than me

But, I will close that gap soon enough

I will improve myself
